worked like a charm
I recently upgraded my Ender 3 with the Redrex Dual Gear Ender 3 Extruder Metal Drive Feeder, and I must say, this upgrade has been a complete game-changer for my 3D printing experience! The quality and performance of this extruder upgrade have far exceeded my expectations.First and foremost, the dual-gear design of this extruder provides superior grip and control over filament feeding, resulting in smoother and more consistent extrusion. This has significantly improved the overall print quality of my Ender 3, allowing me to achieve finer details and cleaner prints with ease. The metal construction of the drive feeder not only adds durability but also enhances the reliability of the extruder, ensuring long-lasting performance without any issues. I can now print for hours on end without worrying about filament slipping or jamming, thanks to the robust design of this upgrade.Installation was a breeze, with clear instructions and a user-friendly design that made the process smooth and hassle-free. Within minutes, I had the Redrex Dual Gear Extruder installed on my Ender 3, ready to take my 3D printing projects to the next level.Overall, I highly recommend the Redrex Dual Gear Ender 3 Extruder Metal Drive Feeder upgrade to anyone looking to enhance their Ender 3. The improved performance, reliability, and print quality make this upgrade a worthwhile investment for any 3D printing enthusiast. Upgrade your Ender 3 with this extruder, and you won't be disappointed!

Fixed issue with under extrusion
Had my ender 3 v2 for about 3 years, and suddenly mid print the printer stopped feeding filament into the extruder properly. It made the print very fragile and much less dense. I noticed that if I pushed the filament into the stepper motor it would print normally, but as soon as I stopped manually feeding it the print would become fragile again.I disassembled the stock part to find there was a crack in the plastic and it want pinching the filament correctly while feeding. This replacement is much stronger, made from metal, with dual gears for gripping the filament. Easy swap out, takes about 5 mins, and immediately fixes the issue. Good price and good quality.

Good customer services after an issue with washer
Sadly in my use case, the extruder eventually eats itself due to the washer being too small on the shaft. Overtime it basically generates heat and the metal is basically cheese so as you can imagine the cheese eventually melts and the washer starts eating away at the frame of the extruder. This one lasted me about 6 months, printing maybe 5 hours per day.Used on a Voxelab Aquila, prints lovely whilst it lasts, but these things shouldn't really be a consumable item if constructed properly. I've had these without the so mentioned 'washer' and they last about the same amount of time. I think I'll stick to a BMG or Titan. Shame as the other redrex titan and standard one gear extruder work great and have lasted since installation on my other printers. The only reason this still remains 4 star is that the customer services received was excellent, communication was good and issue resolved to my satisfaction.

Can be a simple upgrade to improve print quality
I know this subject can be quite controversial but I find that these extruders are a simple cheap upgrade that can improve print quality. My own experience is that when I have tried these on printers that have the original single gear wheel and suffer printing issues these can make a significant difference.Yes there are better more expensive solutions but looking at cost vs benefit and the fact that its a cheap way to explore whether its your extruder causing problems. I have a couple of printers running these regularly and for me they have improved print quality a lot. I also keep a spare in case I end up upgrading another printer or fixing a fiends.

Good solid dual gear extruder
Solid little package. Instructions were less than obvious on how to put it all together but it wasn’t too complex in the end. Great care is needed in alignment though to make feeding new filament work.My printer has klipper installed and it was easy enough to calibrate the extruded. The filament comes out with fine even and clean teeth marks on two sides. Made a clear difference from the plastic stock extruder.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Terrible! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!I'm working with an Ender 3v2.Bought it to replace one that started skipping. This lasted a couple of weeks before it failed and started skipping. The fit wasn't great, couldn't put the knob back on as the gear had to be right at the top of the stepper rod.

Very Robust and Needed Upgrade
Couldn't quite put my finger on why I was not getting good results with my prints, then I watched a youtube video on how this could possible be the cause. So, purchased this with the stepper motor (glad I did) and fitted it with little effort (while watching a 'how to' video on youtube). Instruction that are included are not good. The thing to bear in mind is that you must calibrate it once finished and this process is straight forward but, does take a few minutes to achieve good results (the video I watched was by 'Casual DIY'). I have had much better prints since fitting this. It seems to be very well made and has been accurately manufactured to fit, all presented in good packaging

Nice. We’ll made.
Got this to help with consistency. If you are mounting it on top of motor as I didAfter running for some time “ on PETG l found that the feed wheel was skidding. It took me a few attempts befor I realised that the unit was worming up due to the stepper motor running at 140 steps per inch instead of 100 Steps.I resolve the problem by creating a small heat brake under the feed mechanism.Ps I am running in an enclosure!
