Great book for starting artist with little bit of drawing ...
Great book for starting artist with little bit of drawing ability. Learning to draw has been on my bucket list. I always love to draw however had no training. This book explains very well about shading & step by step instructions. I love it.

Save your money and google how to draw
Nothing new inside. I've gotten more and better help by simply googling how to draw for beginners. The information here does not show step by step instructions. Gives overview and not examples for each step. Waste of money. The shipping cost was more than the book so I will keep it, not worth adding more $ to return it but seriously, you can find way better books to help draw. Skip this one.

Great.
I have only flicked through this book, it's for my 12 year old daughter, and I can already tell that it's going to be a fantastic purchase. Clearly laid out and lots of big pictures.

Interesting book
The reason I dit not give the book five stars is because I don't like the instruction for making shadows including lightsources. I appreciated that he told the reader what pen number he used.

The worst art book of its kind that I have ever purchased in 38 years as an art educator
As an art teacher I am always looking for new ideas. Mistakenly I thought this publication would include as advertised on the cover exercises on perspective that I could use in classes. The cover has four bullet points the first of which states ‘Mastering Perspective’, and a gold seal emblem emblazoned with the boast ‘100 years of excellence’. However inside Project 2 entitled ‘Perspective and Value’ has NO instruction whatsoever. The word perspective is only mentioned in the title, and there is no other reference to the subject at all. Having taught for more than 3 decades I have bought many Art educational books searching for fresh inspiration and ideas. I can honestly say this is the WORST publication I’ve ever wasted money on. I would urge you not to make the mistake I have made - in a word it is RUBBISH!
