My go to sunscreen
I've bought it over a dozen times. My dermatologist recommended it. It is thick/heavy but effective. After you have used a fair amount to the bottle, just store it upside down in the medicine cabinet to easily dispense the rest.

Solbar Shield SPF40 does the job, has no toxins, and does not stain.
I was using Nuetrogena 100. Neutrogena would get on the interior of rental cars and once I was charged an extra $150 for cleaning. In my research to find a less messy sun block I discovered that many, including Neutrogena, contain toxic ingredients and do NOT contain good sun blocking ingredients. Apparently the two good ingredients are Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide (which are absent in Neutrogena). Also I discovered that high SPF is a hype; SPF above 50 really has no meaning, so an SPF of 100 is nonsense. I chose Solbar Shield Sunscreen SPF 40 because it has the two needed ingredients and has no toxins, AND it does not cause the staining problem that Neutrogena did!Note added later: the only negative thing, and there is a work around, is the container. The design makes it difficult to dispense the lotion as there as more and more is used. The work around is:1. When it becomes difficult to squeeze the lotion out take the cap off and tap it repeatedly against your palm of your hand until the desired amount comes out.2. When 1. above no longer works cut the container in half with a box cutter. There will be a lot of lotion still left in either half of the container which can be extracted with your finger. I used to throw it out after 1. and wasted what was left.

Reasonably priced Mineral Sunscreen
I have very sensitive skin and can use this product with any problem. It works and it lasts! The only downside is that it isn't completely clear. My skin seems a little whiter after application. (I use a bit of mineral sunscreen powder to return to my normal skin tone.) But it works great and comes off without great scrubbing. Overall I am very satisfied. (If it were clear, I'd have rated it 5 star.)

Soothing and really works!
I had mild rosacea for years, and chemical sunscreens irritated my skin. I started using this mineral sunscreen and not only did it heal my skin barrier, it holds in moisturizer, and my skin is literally so soft and perfect now. After years of irritated skin, it is amazing to have healed, healthy, beautiful skin again.

Best Sunblock, Recommended by dermatologist
I’m in my 40s and still had issues with acne. I went to the dermatologist and she recommended not getting any moisturizer or foundation with SPF in it and actually applying a separate zinc based sunblock. She gave me several samples of different brands to try and this was by far the best. It’s the only one that doesn’t leave your face all white. It just leave a little bit of a healthy shine but blends in with your base color. My acne is virtually gone with the change in this routine along with using epiduo forte every other evening.
