Works for allowing phone signal over Ethernet cable
This works if you want to have your digital phone line signal from your modem travel over Ethernet cables. Our home doesn’t have any phone lines installed, but is wired for Ethernet, so this was the only way to get the signal from the modem to our cordless phones. You’ll need these cables, plus two Ethernet couplers to attach these cables to the existing line. Plug one of these cables into the modem, then use a coupler to attach this adapter cable to your Ethernet line. Do the same thing on the other end, attaching this adapter cable into your cordless phone. It worked seamlessly, assuming you have a similar setup. This cable will not create phone service through your router. You need to have home phone service added to your internet plan and need these cables in lieu of traditional phone cabling. Otherwise they aren’t really useful.

Exactly what I wanted
I just moved to a new home, and had ethernet cable run from my wiring closet in the basement to my office (actually 4 "home" runs). I didn't want to run phone line because eventually POTS (plain old telephone service) will die. However, my wife likes using the home phone for her business. This allowed me to connect my Fios phone line in the wiring closet to an ethernet jack on my patch panel that connects to the office. Then I connected the other wire to the corresponding ethernet jack in my home office, and the other end to the phone, and immediate dial tone. In my last house I actually patched down 4 of the 8 ethernet wires, which means that jack will need to be re-patched down to be used for ethernet evenually. This solution is far more future proof, as my run remains patched down for ethernet use if and when needed. Perfect!

Low Price Point
Well, these probably work but it did not for my UPS. I am sure the issue is with the UPS. The cord is nice and long and if you need the adapter, this will be an excellent purchase.

Reading is knowledge, honesty is priceless.
Affordable, seem well made, durable looking not sure couldn't use.My mistake is ignorance of electronics. I thought this cord would let me plug the new router I bought directly to the phone line. It does plug in and fits real nice! Problem? No one told me my new router doesnt have a modem? So I had to piggyback off my 7 year old worn out router from fr#n=<er. HOPE THIS SAVES ANOTHER HOPLESS LIKE ME,FROM LEARNING THE HARD WAY TO KNOW YOUR WIRELESS MODEM IS NOT A JUST A ROUTER.

Went to cheaper internet modem / provider. Works great!
We have phone line connections in the house. Went from a large well named provider to a cell phone company provider. Saved tons but needed this cord. Works great! Just as intended.

Does the job
Looks and feels flimsy but have to be honest it does what I needed it to do

So far so good and no issues of quality or static
Working well for its intended purpose, which is to provide a pipe to route voice traffic (RJ11/RJ14) over existing RJ45 wiring. One example of this is leveraging an all-in-one modem/gateway and allowing you to "plug it in" where you need to. Not much more exotic than that, and kept me from having to make one myself. So far so good and no issues of quality or static.
