If your in electrical maintenance, these locks can save your life.
Most people would never use this type of lock for daily use, as it is not designed for keeping valuables secure. Its main purpose is to safely lock out electrical equipment in a industrial setting and is required by most jurisdictions as a requirement to use them. I work inside of a manufacturing plant and locking out equipment is a life or death issue. Not only can electricians use them, but personnel that work on non electrical devices in which you must put your hands into should use them too. The lock label clearly states that equipment is locked out and along with the required tag looks official and deters tampering. The lock is well made and the key cannot be removed unless lock is closed.

Good idea, but seriously flawed execution - save your money
The part picker transposed the key numbers, so I did not get a set of keyed alike locks. The high visibility red body is a nice idea, but lacks quality. Unlike the more commmon red band locks, which cost only $7, these have sticky cylinders, non-hardened shackles, and no spare key. The key is not a standard Master pad-lock key. The key actually says says "do not duplicate!" This is not a LOTO requirement where I work and it is actually just cheap. The key marking is kind of silly, seeing as you are going to have duplicates if you order more than one of these (and you happen to get lucky and actually receive a keyed-alike order). The mild steel shackle (I am a metallurgist) and the plastic body case are not secure enough for commercial applications. Yuck.

Great product.
It does the job I need: to keep people from accidentally turning on a circuit breaker that is to remove powered off. I also got a circuit breaker lockout that is needed to make this lock useful.

Gets the job done
Lock seems flimsy. It does hold up though. Comes with only 1 key. 6 stickers (2 per language(English, Spanish, French)

A-OK
Gave them 5 stars because there's nothing wrong with them. They (3) were a little stiff at first, but have broken in fine. (The hasps occasionally needed to be jiggled a little to pull them open.) They are the same model as the one the company issued me over a year ago, which is still doing fine in the harsh, sandy, dusty environment of an iron foundry.

Purchased it to practice my lock-picking skills.
Purchased it to practice my lock-picking skills - fairly easy to pick with the right tool.

BMW High Voltage Lockout
This lock is not made for heavy duty security. Its made for Lock Out Tag Out purposes. It only has one key and cant be removed until its locked for safety reason. I use this lock for locking the high-voltage safety connector when working on hybrid and electric BMW vehicles. Once open and locked it prevents activation of high voltage battery from others when working on high-voltage components.

Cheap plastic
When I read the description I was intrigued by statements like "nonconductive thermoplastic body" and "The lock body is Zenex, a UV-stabilized thermoplastic with tensile strength and resistance to corrosion." These are fancy words for cheap plastic as it turns out! The lock doesn't open or close easily, in fact in order to open it (after you appropriately turn the key of course) you have to shake and jiggle it to unlatch. Probably because it's just a little ball bearing that provides the locking. Now I don't need a bullet proof lock that will survive the apocalypse to lock out equipment, but I DO need a lock that opens without struggle and will survive in a commercial environment daily! Perhaps if you want to lock out things at your house, this may be for you! Not what I need for work though. I have returned this item already.
