Saves making things worse
The Number One mistake people make when they have a stove/cooking pot. fire is plunge shooting a fire extinguisher down into the burning device, rather than skimming across the top of what’s burning, to cut off air from the bottom of the actual flame. Plunging will either get you a much bigger fire now or at best a great big mess. The idea is cut off the oxygen, not splash flaming grease all over. Yes, putting a lid on your burning pot will work but your hand will likely be the worse for it. This fire blanket type item works great for the small size fires most will ever have. Follow the instructions (read BEFORE the fire) Pull the blanket out by the hand straps, hold it up in front of you (which also provides your face protection) and toss it completely over the flame. Fire’s out in most cases, and minimal extraneous damage/cleanup. Used as intended/directed its great insurance. Just remember it needs to be quickly accessible, not stuffed in the back of a drawer or cabinet, and not so close to the fire area that you can’t get to it.Common sense required for use…

Practical Peace of Mind — Smart Gift for New Homeowners or Renters
As someone who believes in being prepared for anything, I’m really impressed with the Prepared Hero Emergency Fire Blanket 4-Pack. These are one of those rare products that you hope you never need—but are incredibly grateful to have in an emergency.🔥 Compact, Easy to Store, and Ready to Deploy each blanket comes individually packaged in a bright red pouch that’s easy to spot in a drawer or hang on the wall. They're incredibly simple to use, even in a panic—just pull down and cover the flames. I tested one in a controlled outdoor burn setup, and it absolutely smothered the fire instantly. Zero guesswork, zero delay.🎁 Perfect for Gifting What really makes this a 5-star item for me is its giftability. I’ve already bought another set to include in a housewarming gift basket for a friend who just moved into their first apartment. Whether it’s for a new homeowner, a college student living off-campus, or even for your own kitchen—this is a thoughtful, practical, and potentially life-saving gift that shows you care.🏠 Coverage & Placement Options At 40" x 40", the size is ideal for kitchen fires—especially grease fires, where a fire extinguisher can make things worse. We mounted ours in the kitchen, laundry room, garage, and one by the grill outside. I also keep one in the car trunk.⚠️ Things to Know: Yes, they’re made of fiberglass, so be cautious handling them and definitely avoid touching your face after use until you’ve washed your hands. Also, they don’t replace a fire extinguisher but are a fantastic first response tool before things escalate.Final Thoughts: This 4-pack gives peace of mind, solid value, and makes a great gift for anyone you care about. In a world full of gadgets, this is a simple tool that can literally save a life. A must-have for every home.

Life Saver! Definitely a Prepared Hero tonight!!
I highly recommend having a few of these on hand! I bought one for my house and one for my Son’s college apartment months ago. Had to use it tonight for the first time! It worked extremely well! Saved my house from catching on fire when our smoker grill started shooting 6 foot flames out of it (under the covered patio). Hubby should not have been grilling under the covered patio. I just ordered two more tonight! Everyone at our barbecue is ordering them as well since they saw first hand how well it worked. It’s a tad harder on the grill than it would be on a flat stove because there’s still air under the grates in the smoker, but I used super long tongs to tuck the blanket in as tight as possible which killed all but a small flame then I shut the grill cover with the blanket inside and that snuffed out the few straggler flames. I’m so glad I had this on hand. It was about a 3’w x 2’d x 6’h fire. Things could have taken a really bad turn but this fire blanket save us!!

Compact!
I purchased this after learning more about kitchen and fire safety. In my opinion, better safe than sorry!I keep it in my kitchen in an easy place to grab if something caught on fire. I love how compact the packaging is. It is super easy to store and doesn’t take up a lot of room. The directions are right on the packaging so I can quickly see them in an emergency.I am hoping I never need to use this product, but I think it’s worth having.

Saved the day
Had a grill fire tonight and so we put to use these blankets. The blanket wasn’t enough to fully stop the fire but it bought us enough time to get the extinguisher, operate it and call 911. It was very useful, faster than extinguisher and saved the day. Just bought more - I hope we never have to use again but I am very glad to have them. Firefighter commented on how great it was that we had one!

Where nitrile or vinyl gloves when opening or wrapping!
Where nitrile or vinyl gloves when opening or wrapping! I Used as a blanket to wrap around waterproof envelopes inside a quote " fireproof box for files." My hands where itchy and had mini-shards of Fire blanket fiberglass in places i touched.. They could have spun the blanket better so it wouldn't leave splinters/ pieces.. Haven't tried to cover a fire yet. Hopefully it will help as a retardant wrap in file fire box for heat damage in a fire safe. Also, have in kitchen if fire. Just be careful to place over an object if on fire. Saving your house and getting small splinters is the option....

Glad I bought.. no regrets
My mom bought this for me since we have kids and may not figure out a fire extinguisher in time. I never thought I would have to use it... today a pot caught fire on the stove. I pulled out the blanket and covered the pot. The fire slowly extinguished. This was easy to use. After the fire was out and blanket cooled, I folded it up into the bag for next time. Blanket had a few burn marks but no damage.

Saved my house
Saved my house. Oil overheated and caught on fire. I had bought a 2 pack and hung these blankets on the side of the cabinets. I grabbed them and smothered the fire. It was pretty intense, so it took 2 and they were toast afterwards, but if they hadn't been there I KNOW without a doubt, the whole kitchen would have caught on fire. Immediately bought a 4 pack to replace. Thank you, Prepared Hero!
