Great helmet at a very good price.
So glad to find a Bell helmet at a great price. My first one was about 40 years ago. The sizind was spot on. I got an XXL, matching my 3/4-7/8 “ big head. Plenty sung enough to allow for the typical 10% break in final fit.

APPEARS TO RUN SMALL IN SIZE.
JUST RECEIVED IT. 2 DAYS AFTER ORDERING. AS SOME OF THE REVIEWS STATED IT APPEARS TO RUN SMALL. THE CHIN STRAP ATTACHMENT SEEMS CHEAP. OVER ALL VERY NICE HELMET. HOPEFULLY I CAN REMEMBER TO UPDATE THIS REVIEW AFTER SOME TIME IN THE SADDLE.

Excellent helmet.
What an excellent helmet! And this is coming from someone who doesn’t really like helmets. My last home it did not cover my ears and the turbulence noise. At freeway speeds was deafening. I could not even hear my bike. That is not existent with his helmet and I can actually hear my bike better. And when it gets cool out, the face shield does not fog up. It makes me want to wear my helmet.

as it works great for my wife
Don't know why this helmet is titled "Mens", as it works great for my wife. I also have this model (in flat black) w/ the SENA 10 clamp kit. I had to go elsewhere to get her the clamp kit (mic, speakers, bracket) that is specific to this helmet and sold (labeled) thru Bell. An extra $40, but I knew this going in. Installing the clamp kit is a piece of cake. We had the SENA 10 system installed on our closed face helmets, but wanted this system on the open face/ 3/4 helmets for warm weather riding. We ride 2-up and use this system only as a wire-free intercom, so I have no idea how it works for bike-to-bike comm. The SENA 10 units clip right off one helmet and snap on to the other. Real easy.I got the size M for myself and also for the little woman. My head measures just on the lower range for M, and her's is even a bit smaller, but she said she wouldn't want anything smaller (she had size S helmets before that she wasn't too fond of the fit). The "D-rings" and strap are very easy to work - thread, tighten, and snap. The hood piece is out of eye range, so it's useless as a sunblock. More of a style thing, I think. It can be removed, but I don't think it changes the wind noise level (we ride behind a full fairing). The 2 vent inlets don't allow any "felt" breeze thru, w/ or w/o the hood. Also, no change of noise level, vents opened or closed (behind my big fairing/ windshield. You may be able to feel some breeze on an open m/c, but I don't know. The dark shade is just a touch darker than some other helmets' drop-down sun visor. Still, it could be darker. It also should come down a bit more as it's easy to see bright light while looking down. The clear shield can be flipped up to use just the dark shield, or no shield at all w/ just a pair of glasses. The price is a bit higher than it should be for this Chinese made helmet. Also, Bell doesn't allow retailers to lower the price on current modelhelmets. If so, I think this Mag-9 Sena would be around $100-$120

Extremely dissatisfied.
I bought this through Amazon. There seem to be a lot of riders that like this helmet, and based upon those reviews, I thought I'd try it out. But, to me, this helmet is not good. By way of comparison, I previously used an HJC IS-33. I chose the Bell Mag-9 because I liked the idea of being able to configure the helmet to use without the face shield and the Sena compatibility. I wanted to like this helmet, but there are a few things that make it hard to. The helmet looks great, but compared to the HJC, it is very noisy. Also, the visor fastening/release mechanism is pretty cheaply made; while removing the visor, one of the mounting tabs promptly broke, making it impossible to put the visor back on, but since I don't ride with it anyway, it's no big deal for me, but still...I think that it's just a poor design. The worst thing, however, is that the internal visor will not stay down, not even for a second. The internal visor is one of the reasons I bought this helmet, and it is simply not usable. I contacted Bell about this issue, but they have chosen not to respond. Well I'm stuck with it for now, since I can't afford to get two new helmets within the same year.Added Since my original review, I've downgraded this from 2 to 1 star because the lever that controls the internal visor has completely broken off!! I'm gentle with these things and don't muscle them to make them work. It seems just another example of how cheaply this was made. I don't think I'll use this helmet anymore; if the components break this easily, I'm not sure it will protect my head. Oh, and Bell did finally respond to one of my emails. According to them, I would have to send them the helmet on my dime for them to EVALUATE the helmet to see if it it would fall under warranty work. Are you kidding me??

I'm loving it
Fit - Head circumference measures at 58 cm and size L was a perfect fit. My guess if someone with chubby cheek wld feel tight as pad fits nicely on mine.Comfort - 4.5 🌟. Can't say much abt wind noise due to open face. Doesn't feel warm inside probably due to vents. Here in Singapore weather is hot especially at noon time.Aesthetic - Love it. Goes well with my silver adv
