Loved it so much, I got two of them!
I bought one of these for my shop, and used it primarily for listening to music and audio books while I worked. I started taking it all over my property with me for the same reason. Any DeWalt battery will last forever in it, and it's loud enough to be heard over the noise of my other DeWalt tools while I'm working. It's also very rugged. I've dropped it several times and never made a dent in it.When I built a hunting camp halfway up the mountain, I realized my cell phone would go dead in the middle of my hunts and I couldn't check the time at the end of the day to know when it was 30 minutes past sunset. I would also bring a digital recorder to record wildlife, and that battery would die within a few hours. I finally remembered that this DeWalt Bluetooth Radio was also a generator. So, I brought it to my camp and never had to worry about charging my phone and recorder ever again. I've had it up there for over a week now and haven't had to replace the battery in it. Just in case, I simply throw an extra DeWalt battery in my drag bag and bring it with me.Since I don't want to lug the radio back and forth, I decided to buy a second one for my shop. They're well worth the purchase.

So far, its Awesome!
Bought this off Amazon a few days ago and Im putting it through the paces using it outside and inside, while working on my driveway, Im using a dewalt 20v grinder to cut the cracks so I can seal them up, and when the battery dies on the grinder I am recharging it off the radio while using another battery, it charges the batteries up quick and gives a great charge, Ive plugged in a couple other tools into the radio, and they worked great, I adjusted the +/- eq to the setting I like, and the radio sounds really good outside, makes the time fly while working.I keep my cell in my pocket and adjust the volume up or down while the radio is 10-50 feet away or farther, when I get a phone call, the call goes right to my cell speaker, and not through the radio which I prefer. the radio picks up stations well,no static like from some radios, the bluetooth is a newer version and works great. Using the radio on the inside of my home, I just crank it up in my weight room and sounds better than my boom box Ive had for a few years, it can get pretty loud for a small "boom box" , So far the feel is pretty rugged , buttons are well placed and easy to use, Ive charged my phone while using the radio with the usb port , no issues at all. I like that when I go to the flex volt batteries for my 20 v, and when I start getting 60v tools this radio will not be obsolete. Im happy I picked this one up, Great job DeWalt! Thumbs way up!UPDATE: 06/15/2017 Bought the flexvolt 60v 6ah battery DCB606, and used it in this radio and I got 3 days of playing the radio at medium volume on 1 charge, when it finally died it took exactly 2 hours to charge the same battery with this radio.

Quality Dewalt Portable Bluetooth Radio
PRO’s: good quality, lots of ports to charge electronics, sound quality good and love that you can plug it in and not have to use 20v batteries, and the batteries are a great option when no electricity is available.CON’s: way overpriced and very heavy. Not easily carried.Accurate description.

Love it!
Such a great addition to a workshop! Like the real "vibe" & it's sound is Great! You'll probably need a battery if you disconnect- but you can use the battery for other similar tools, or an acquired DeWalt light, just using it wherever!

Great concept with poor equipment quality.
The radio has great features like: it’s a rechargeable station, has a built-radio and it is attractive and well built. What I DISLIKE about it is that the quality of sound is muffled and poor. YOU HEAR THE MUSIC BUT CANNOT DISTINGUISH THE LYRICS IN ANY SONG. The speakers may have been improved but lack the ability to produce good sound. When I brought this issue to Dewalt, their explanation is that since it’s a radio that is meant be played in a construction site - it did not need to have good clarity. My response was that for the price it should have a the quality worth listening too; otherwise, it’s just noise.I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED NOT ONLY WITH THE RADIO BUT THEIR LACK OF THOUGHTFUL TO THEIR RESPONSE, THEIR PRODUCT, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I GOT THE IMPRESSION FROM DEWALT THAT PROPLE IN THE CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS CANNOT DISTINGUISH OR DO NOT CARE ABOUT GOOD QUALITY AUDIO SOUND.Another issue worth noting is that the equipment companies sell - may be old due to lack of sales which just sat on the shelves. This information can be found in the serial number which often has the production date attached to it. This is important when it comes to electronics and batteries.Of the many pieces of equipment I own and enjoy from Dewalt, THIS RADIO IS NOT ONE IF THEM.THE RADIO IS UNDER WARRANTY BUT DEWALT HAS FAILED TO MAKE IT RIGHT BY BEXCHANGING THE RADIO TO SEE IF THIS WAS A CONSISTANT ISSUE WITH ALL OF THEIR RADIOS.I EXPECT ONLY QUALITY IN THEIR EQUIPMENT AND BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Very power efficient
Excellent quality radio and much better battery efficiency than similar items by Craftsman. A 1.5ah battery gets me somewhere between 8-10 hours of use before I have to charge again
