Great product. Easy to hang and to adjust. After threading through, tie a knot in the end of the rope. If it comes loose, you will not loose it. Would have given it 5 stars but product is pricey for what you get.

The Fastfender is not all its cracked up to be. Two problems, one on me, one on them. I focussed on rail size, and overlooked line size. My fenders are fairly large, with correspondingly large lines. I did not look closely at line size, which is between 3/8 and 1/2, depending on model. Note, the larger rail size takes a smaller, not larger, line. I’ve changed my lines, but I’m not happy with the result. That’s on me. On them? These things don’t float, so I was down one the moment I got on deck, fumbling to put them on the rail and watching it sink. Wouldn’t you think they could give them some buoyancy so you’d have a fighting chance to grab it if you fatfingered the attachment process? These are used on the water, after all. And they aren’t cheap.

Be careful to get the correct size for your boat railings. there are at least 3 different standard sizes of stainless boat rail. One still needs to adapt to dock heights and if rafting to another boat; so the jawed clam side is useful to quickly adjust fender height. If you really want convenience then you will need to test various line sizes and types, then replace your fender lines to suit. I got by with most of my existing fender lines by adding a half hitch to stop the line sliding out.

Before I bought the hangers I did not use my bumpers unless it was windy. It was a paint to tie them up and put them away, now I use my bumpers all the time. Hanging them, adjusting and removing them just takes second.
