Ideal Solution for Mounting the ATM350 on Violins and Other String Instruments
I purchased the Audio-Technica Unimount Microphone Instrument Mount specifically to use with my ATM350 variant U microphone, which comes with a standard mount designed for multiple applications like drums and winds, along with an accessory for string instruments. However, when I tried using the standard gooseneck mount included in this kit on violins and other string instruments, I found it too rigid and not well-suited for these applications.I then tried the AT8468 velcro mount for violin, but it had several disadvantages. It wasn't easy to put on and take off, and sometimes, when positioned, the microphone would make physical contact with the strings, negatively affecting the captured sound. This is where the Unimount was very helpful. It was easy to use, and I could mount the microphone on the violin with this accessory without any issues. The sound captured was extraordinary, with no interference or distortion.Build Quality: The Unimount materials are of high quality. The gooseneck is much more flexible than the one that comes with the ATM350U Kit, as well as being thinner and lighter. This added flexibility allows for effortless adjustment of the microphone to the perfect position.Ease of Use: This mount is much easier to put on and take off compared to the velcro mount. It is especially useful for live sound, when you need to set up quickly.Value for Money: I find the price reasonable given that it is a professional-quality accessory. It is worth every penny considering the improvement in sound quality and ease of use.

High quality cardiod for acoustic guitar
I think the value for the price could be better, but i have no qualms about the ability of this mic to faithfully reproduce the sound of my the loar LH-600. However, i bought it for stage and am still having trouble getting the volume to where i need it to compete with other instruments without insane feedback.

Great replacement for the Airline 77 Wireless instrument mic, if the clip or mic holder breaks.
The clip on my Airline 77 Wireless instrument mic broke and I was possibly looking at buying a whole new system just for a broken clip. I was about to overlook this product until I read a review that specifically mentioned the Airline 77 Wireless mic clip replacement. It worked great and the clip on this product may be more robust than the original.

Versatile and Functional but with Limited Life
I've been using this model of instrument mount on my sax for close to twenty years, if not longer. It has a lot going for it. It is adequately flexible. It holds the mic element securely in the included windscreen. The clip is strong and will not mar the surface of whatever you clip it to (like a sax bell). It fits the Audio Technica ATM 35 or AT 35 Pro series of microphones. It also comes included with the Samson Airline wind instrument mic, which is what I use now. I love the microphone, so this is the mount for the job. The only issue I have with the Unimount, is that it does wear out with use. Over time, the stress points will weaken, loosen, and eventually break. Now to be fair, I am a full-time musician and play in rock bands. I am not easy on equipment...so it's only natural that stuff wears out, eventually. If I had to guess, I'd say I get about five years of frequent use out of one mount. I'm not sure if that's "good" or "bad"...but fortunately, they are still available and easy to replace. More casual (or careful) musicians might get many more years out of one Unimount.

Fits Shure WL184/185 lav mics
Great product, if you already have Shure lav mics save a ton of money by putting one in this mount rather than buying a Shure instrument mic. It's the same capsule. These work great!

Perfect
I used this to replace the original one that comes with my microphone and it's a perfect fit. I have no regret buying it

Get a grip.
This is a well built and versatile mount. I use it with a DPA 4061. The "windscreen" allows multiple sizes of elements. But for smaller ones, like the DPA that I use, there is nothing but the small rubber cable grips on the gooseneck to hold the mic in. Careful placement keeps it all together. I wouldn't jump around with it. But it's working great as a violin mount in my case.
