This comes in handy when going places where I’m filming and taking photos at the same time. It gets annoying pretty quickly holding a phone in one hand and the camera in the other but this item solves that problem. This particular phone holder is very sturdy unlike a cheaper one I bought previously. Highly recommend.

Under the cap on the back, where the pivot is to turn the clamp portrait or landscape. There's a really shite screw that has gotten chewed up by tightening and I can't even take it out to try and replace.That said, it's been pretty good and still works (for the moment!).

It works, it will do the job, but it is very cheap feeling and I expect it to break.

I bought this initially for my husband so he could shoot on his phone as well as his camera. I also bought him a new tripod that also came with another mount, so now I have this one to use. It's very strong. It is stronger than I thought it would be. I use mine when shooting top-down on my tripod, and it holds my phone very well and is very secure.Versatile, strong, and very handy. I bought this so that I can record phone video while I'm shooting photos on the camera that it's mounted on. It's plastic so not heavy and is nicely put together but you'll want to make sure that it's screwed in properly to save your phone going walkabout while you're shooting. Fortunately that's not been a problem for me so far even in some fairly active environments so I can recommend this as a cheap and easy solution.

This has been well designed, and attaches neatly to the hot / cold shoe of a camera, allowing a smartphone to be mounted above the camera and used as an extra display screen, or in my case to provide a wi-fi hotspot to my camera for streaming. Thoroughly recommend!
