I've ordered these a few time, and the figuring can be pretty hit or miss. Most pieces generally have a moderate amount of figuring, sometimes one piece might have more figuring than usual... or little to none.Shipping always takes forever though,.. even longer than the long wait time that is stated in the listing,.. in fact it usually shows up a day or two before it would be free.The last time I ordered though, I ordered two sets when the price was down considerably lower than usual and then the seller just waited two weeks and then refunded my money,.. even though the item was still listed in stock and I never requested a refund. So now if I want to reorder it, I have to spend considerably more money on it,... this is a terrible way to do business and I do not appreciate it at all.The seller needs to honor the price that was listed instead,..instead of leaving the item marked as shipped for two weeks, and then weaseling their way out of the sale altogether.I left two starts because the wood is generally decent quality, and I'm sure I will order it again anyway... but the quality of service from the seller is definitely only worth one star or less.[Edit] Since writing this review I have ordered a couple of sets when the price dipped low again, and this time they shipped them out a week later, and all the wood looks great.I stand by the assertion that it is a gamble, but they seem to be doing better, and I did raise the rating from 2 stars to 3.

The maple blanks were very nice two of them were exceptional.

I ordered the curly maple, and I assumed the figuring would be very light on most, if not all. I took a gamble, though, and was pleasantly surprised. All but one piece was very nicely figured. I will order again after I use these up, and if the next batch is as good as this one, this will be where I buy my handle material from now on.*The first order must have been a fluke. This second batch of "curly" maple had no figuring whatsoever on any of the pieces. I just spent $20 on four pieces of kindling.
