Laughing Your Way Pediatric Textbook To Passing The Pediatric Board Exam Pediatric Review Book To Pass The General Pediatric Board Exam 2022 Edition 2nd Edition

I feel this review was concise, yet comprehensive. I would recommend this for general pediatricians who need to take the pediatric board exam for maintenance of certification. I also think it would be useful for recent graduates of pediatric residency for their Pediatric Board to be board certified in general pediatrics. This is a good review overall for diseases that I have not encountered much in 20+ years of practice. I do wish there were some practice questions at the end of the book.

During residency, one of my colleagues told me about this book. He was always one of the top residents in my class. My scores are nothing to shout about. I used this book to study from my initial boards and scored well above the average. I used it for my first recertification ( don't get me started on what a load of crap that is) and blew it out of the water. Not all of the mnemonics work great but it certainly includes a lot of high percentage information.

For the price and purpose, I'm horrified at the number of typos and poor editing. Also, either my humor is shot or there really really isn't funny at all

There are a bunch of typos in this book. Was this really published like this?There are other errors as well. The picture included shows how the box of information is on top of text. Is this really the final publication version?

This board review may work for some, but does not work for my learning style. It is so surface-level that you need to reference other resources if you care to gain (or re-learn) underlying fundamental concepts for longer-term memory. For example, in the biostats section there is this suggested mnemonic: “Type 1 error: I screwed up my study.” How the hell is that helpful in any way? I’m going to try to return the book.

Very poor binding of the book. Prior to using it to study some pieces already coming out. Is there a way to get a replacement?

The book simply sucks. The moment I opened it I realized I had made a grave mistake. I gave it a shot anyways and now I am wheelchair bound and have lost my sense of taste. I can’t even enjoy my peanut butter and ketchup sandwiches anymore. Thanks, Silverstein. TERRIBLE!
