It works as advertised, no problems

1 for 1 replacement of OEM pieces with 4 vs 6 zones. I only was using 4 so no big deal. If you have 6 zones. This won’t work. Easy chop and swap. 5 minutes

The timer worked great once I learned how to use it. It wasn’t intuitive for me. I replaced it when I had to hire some to take care of my yard. He wanted something he was more familiar with.

Had an older one of these that finally wore out. Replaced with this new one and good to go.

The little screws are a problem and using the manual override is harder!!

Keeps shutting off. It's hard to program and when you do get all program the screen goes blank. Seems to have faulty wiring. Since we only set up and use it in the summer, by the time we got it setup, if was to late to return it.☹️End up having to purchase a different one.

This was easy to install and program. Here's my story: This timer has a pump relay connection that I needed. I didn't know I had a bad solenoid in one station. I think the bad solenoid blew the fuse in my old timer. I replaced my old timer with this one. This timer cut off the electric to the bad station and to the pump relay without blowing a fuse. I'm not even sure it has a fuse. Anyway, that led me to find and replace the bad solenoid. Then everything worked fine. So this timer might be 'smarter' than my old timer. I'm amazed this timer shut off the pump relay and the electricity to the bad station until I replaced the bad solenoid. Crazy good. Saved my pump from overload as I don't have a relief valve on it.

I choose this timer to replace an older TORO timer I had when I bought my house. I was use to it and I knew what it could do. For the money, you can't beat it. I read some negative reviews about Rainbird timers, so I didn't want to spend $50 on a product I might not like. Installation was easy. I was able to set it up based on my previous knowledge. I haven't figured out how to manually run individual stations yet, but that's partly due to the fact I haven't needed to, and I haven't read the manual for this model yet. I also got the rain gauge with this as part of the combo. I haven't installed it yet, but it seems straight forward.
