Very sturdy
The only drawback is how many straps are required to wrap around the front seat in order to secure the platform, but otherwise it’s very sturdy and can support a decent amount of weight. I would recommend, if you have a dog who is determined to sit on the floor, to put a seat cover on top of this. I could easily see a smart dog pushing it up and crawling underneath.

Great for traveling and general use!
UPDATE (07/24/2024): This thing has seen some stuff. Car sick dogs; many road trips with multiple dogs, vet visits and more. I can't recommend this enough. We've had this for nearly ten years apparently, and it's still trucking. We've used it in a small sedan & multiple SUVs (4runner, cx5, etc). We've changed out the middle bit for more stability, but it still works and makes a difference for travel with dogs.---------- Original Review below -------------I was a bit worried it wouldn't fit in my vehicle, because it has such a small back seat area. But it fits my Chevy Sonic without any issue. Our dog comes with us on all sorts of travels, some just down the street others on the other side of the country. This has helped make the back seat more spacious for her, and allows us to have a nice area for food and water without taking up 90% of the back area.We haven't had any issues with it in terms of quality or being able to withstand her weight (60lbs or so), and I can visually see that she makes use of it. I frequently see her sitting on the part closest to the driver or passenger seat, next to the window, and the extender has no issue with stability. As for how easy it is to set up: I found it very easy to do. I read the instructions, and followed them without any issue. I have yet to take it out of the car, because our dog is in there so frequent it would be inconvenient to set up on an near daily basis. I am happy I was able to not put the middle spot up, because it would just block all of the airflow for the back completely. So far, it's lasted us a few months (and two looongg trips) and doesn't seem to have any sign of wear. I hope it lasts us a while, and I definitely would buy again!

It’s ok unless you find something better
The media could not be loaded. It has been a lifesaver I had to travel across country with a dog skittish and afraid to ride in back seat by herself. What I don’t like is 1 - like everyone says it almost completely blocks the backseat vent. A little air is able to rise at top edge of extender. I bought one of the camping fans that clips on to railing I bought railing to prevent dog from jumping to the front. Still I try to cool the Honda Pilot before we ride to make it easier on her. 2 - I’m a little leery that it would hold my dogs 75 lbs. so far it has but I also put a cushion underneath the extender where she first gets in car. The extender flap doesn’t go all the way to the back of the seat. 3 - the extender is a little thick it has to be so it’s sturdy. However since it doesn’t go all the way to the backseat I struggle using folded dog blankets and rugs to make it a smooth bed. 4 - since car seats are not level they slant down in the back that again adds to not making the bed uneven. I suppose if you had someone that could make a platform on top of the extender then cushion it somehow it would be better. In the meantime it’s ok. 5 - one of the good things about this is I can bend one-off the flaps down. This helped to let someone ride in back with my dog and she could lay across up to the middle till she got used to riding in back. So until something better this is it for me

Perfect!
I was looking for something to extend the length of my back seat for my dogs to ride in comfort. I found exactly what I was looking for in this product! I have a Nissan Frontier extended cab. The back seats fold down, and I prefer that over letting the dogs jump in on my leather seats. However, with the seats folded, the dogs are really high off the floor and easily hoover over my shoulder while driving. This bridge is perfect. It provides a barrier from front seat to back seat, while providing a bridge over the floor boards in the back seat. I can still fold down the back seats, keep my leather from getting messed up by the dogs, and keep them safe while driving, while also giving them more room to move around and get comfortable on long trips. I've slammed on the brakes a few times, which results in the dogs ending up crashing into the floor boards. No fun for either of us. I couldn't have asked for anything better. It fit perfectly in my Nissan Frontier, (which has a rather large back seat) and held the weight of a 45lb and 57lb dog at the same time with no problems. I even like the fact that I can flip it over to show a khaki or a dark gray (black) side to match my interior. If you want to keep your dog safe during a car ride and prevent them from roaming around and getting up front, search no more. Definitely worth the money! After spending over 24 hours in the truck with my dogs while using this product, I can confidently say that this product is awesome! My dogs were comfortable, which made me comfortable. I didn't have to worry about them trying to get in the front seat or worry about slamming on the brakes and them ending up in the floor board. I would pay twice this to have that kind of peace of mind!

Dog cover
I like how solid it is but it doesnt stay on the seat. It need hooks to fit under the fold of the seats to keep it in place
