Better than OEM
My original cord with the cooler had trouble holding into the 12v socket. This did much better and helps keep the cooler’s battery charged. The cooler side fits good and tight into the cooler plug. Although this plug type looks odd it’s the same on both my Anker and GoSun coolers so I think it’s actually some sort of standard.

The first of FOUR
Having 4 portable Refrigerator/Freezers, from 3 different companies, and 4 different vehicles, plus a portable power station, the weak spot has been the 12 volt car plug. After losing one 12v power cable, I started searching for one that might survive with the vehicle vibrations or whatever managed to dislodge the power cords from the plug-ins. I had selected something that looked like it came from a space ship, and read the reviews ... OK, but not the 5 star product I needed. Then I found this one ... and ordered one to test. Review were good, so I was hopeful. The test under ugly conditions. A Jeep, with a built in plug outlet, a 200 mi trip, no stationary place for the cord to hang in safety, and not the smoothest road in the state. Normally, I would have to stop several times on this same trip, and check, usually having to plug my freezer back in after losing my temperature setting. I have an internal temperature sensor which can be monitored from a cell phone, so I made the first two legs of the trip, checking several times and finding the temperature holding steady. This plug is solid and the tension to hold it in the outlet is strong. Next part of the trip was with the plug in to the portable power station which was not tied down and tends to slide around and bounce at will.Success, the temperature remained yet again, so I completed the trip using that combination. No failure. The plug was seated as tight as when I put it in the outlet. A first for back road travel.Plan is to buy another to use with another of the 12 volt coolers. As always, Amazon delivers fast and in new condition. Definitely a 5 star product. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and considering the price difference against spoiled food ... it is a clear winner.

Finally a cable solution that feel secure
I was about to buy an EcoFlow 12V plug and solder my own cable before I found this. Testing at home seems super secure and both sides of the plug are tight in the connection with no wiggle room. I’m saved from securing the 12V plug with paracord around the battery just to secure the cheap plugs from intermittent disconnects.I can’t wait to test this in the field. I will update after my first trip!

Some issues but mostly good
First, unlike what some reviewers have stated, the fuse is definitely replaceable, but it is NOT easy. The blue sleeve can be removed to reveal a screw to open the plug and replace the fuse. However, when I opened it, the insides kinda fell apart and reassembling required good dexterity.Second, the lighter plug doesn't seem to be able to handle the 15 amps allowed by the fuse; it kinda melted internally and filled my 4Runner with a stinky, scary smell. When I opened it up, the fuse was still intact. Since most cars fuse these outlets at 10A, maybe going up to 15A was a bad idea? IDKLastly, I want to add that since these stupid lighter power plugs never work right, someone needs to standardize a different socket, connector, or adapter that stays in place in spite of vehicle vibration. I cut off the melted lighter plug and converted the end to a simpler connector that stays in place, and mounted the female part, with a fuse, to a panel in the car. There are even better plug alternatives than what I used and hopefully auto manufacturers will come up with a better standard solution someday soon.Bottom line: if your working with a higher, constant current (say, above 8A), skip this lighter plug type (there is a little spring inside that presses on the contact that gets hot and melts stuff). But if you need a good, solid cable with a good, solid molded fridge DC plug, one that you can modify with a better connector, then I highly recommend it.

The head is very stable vs OEM, super long which is convenient and high quality
I bought this to replace the OEM DC cord for my Alpicool freezer/refrigerator. The OEM head was NOT stable and would dislodge, the length was short. This DC cord is absolutely perfect! The head was EXTREMELY STABLE and very difficult to dislodge if at all when I was driving around. (I have it attached to a power station sometimes and my power station would move around. The length was also great and long. Most of the time I have my referigerator in my trunk and the DC head is at the front of the car. Yup it was long enough to do that. The quality of this cord is great. It didn't feel flimsy or thin. It felt solid in my hand. VERY happy with this product. In fact, I bought a 2nd one (of a different type but same DC head) for my thermo electric food heater/cooler.

The cable damaged my refrigerator and almost caused a harmful adverse event.
I meeded a replacement cable for my vehicle refrigerator, since the original one kept wiggling out of the outlet. As soon as I plugged this new cable in, the refrigerator started smoking, and I had to disconnect power immediately to prevent further damage to my refrigerator/vehicle and potential catastrophic harm to myself and others nearby. The refrigerator had been working great for years prior to this. Will be returning this cable, as it is non-functional, damaged my refrigerator, and is ultimately a danger risk.

Works
Does what it's supposed to do and feels very study and well built. Been running it for awhile now keeping our fridge going while off roading very rough terrain. It holds in its plug very well.
