Is it 3 a day or 3 before every lactose containing meal? Otherwise they work well

I bought these lactase enzyme tablets hoping they would help with my lactose intolerance, but they made me extremely ill. After taking them I experienced severe diarrhoea, painful stomach cramps and intense nausea. I even woke up in the night being violently sick. The symptoms lasted for days making my life miserable.I later discovered that a similar product from another retailer had been recalled and I now wonder if these should be as well. If you have lactose intolerance and are looking for a solution please be careful. These tablets caused me significant distress, and I strongly advise against using them.

Finally something which is working for me, two pills and I’m fine with dairy dessert

This product does not work. I have been lactose intolerant since I was a baby, I have been for the most part of 3 years lactose free. I love cheese and other milk product so I tend to treat myself sometimes. I got this brand since the previous brand I had was good but not the best. First of all you need to take 3 pills before a meal containing dairy, why not 1? On the other side they say you can only take 3 a day.Yesterday, I took 3 pills for some poutine, everything is fine a bit of wind and discomfort in the bowels but that is understandable. Today, I took 3 pills and I had some Le Roulé, a French cheese with crackers as a light snack. I had no more than 1-2 table spoons of cheese. A couple of hours later my literal stomach was hurting so bad I was bending over in pain. A couple hours after that I was hit by hot flashes, excessive sweating, intolerable pains in my bowels and I will spare you the rest.I do understand that the fast acting pills are not as good as the 30 min wait ones but this is ridiculous. Usually, I don't have dairy 2 times in a row or in the same week and I do try and plan ahead.

I normally use the H & B ones, but as these were about the same price, I went for them. They work just as well! They’re tablets rather than gel capsules, but they seem to work quickly. I find them effective, and am happy to recommend and repurchase !

Product works fine but is this excessively large plastic tub, really necessary for such a small amount? (Seal is still on...)
