Well built but light weight
Aluminum barrel and cap with plastic section. But it is very light weight, maybe try Prefounte or Preppy first. Still a good pen for this price, the color is very polished and premium.

Lighter than a Lighter.
It's fine but the width is Japanese medium. It's not a con if you know it already. Hobbyone made sure the pen was all right and delivered it 13 days before the expected date. Good pen + good seller = good experience.

Looks better than it feels/writes
Looks premium, but thats about it. Feels cheap in hand and writing experience atleast on my unit was not very good. Not as smooth as some pens half it's price. Doesn't come with a converter.

An absolute delight to write with!
If you are a fountain pen lover, look no further. This one pips most other (even higher priced) brands. The issue I face with most fountain pens (except Lamy CP1 and Platinum) is that while you're in the middle of a long discussion and need to write time and again (with the cap open), the nib dries up, making you embarrassed as you shake the pen to make it write (makes you want to kill yourself if you've proclaimed that fountain pens are the best writing devices, ever!)The fine nibs of Japanese pens are far better (IMO). I ended up ordering 2 more of these in different colours!

Excellent VFM
Both this pen and the Pilot Kakuno offer excellent value for money, and I'd pick this over the Kakuno any day due to parts interchangeability with the Preppy. Fine nib writes very smooth.Does not come with a converter though. If it did then they'd make it more expensive or use cheap parts.
