Feels and looks well made, sturdy and responds well to my testing.
This is a complete and self-contained system to detect leaks, notify you, and shut off your water main. It comes with three leak detector sensors and each already has the necessary batteries installed. They can be bought separately in sets of three.Installation is a bit laborious only insofar as there are a number of distinct steps, though no one of which is very hard to do. Only tools needed were a cordless drill with a Phillips head driver bit, a Phillips head screwdriver and a crescent wrench. You will need a WiFi router and you will need to create a dedicated 2.4GHz channel for it. You will also need to connect the YoLink WiFi hub by Ethernet cable to your WiFi router and also to wall power. This will be the "brain" and respond to water leaks detected by your sensors to notify you and shut off your water main. This is designed for a quarter-turn 1" ball valve. If your water main is not equipped with one you are SOL. The valve operator comes with a couple of sets of adapters, clamps and ring couplers so you have options to best fit the mechanical operator to your water main's ball valve and its location. This will need to be connected to an electronic controller which is mounted to nearby wall (wood or drywall screws are included) which in turn will need to be connected to wall power. The leak sensors then need to be added to the system, named and then put in place. Each one has a pair of steel electrodes on bottom and on top. Apparently, they can be triggered by as little as 0.01" (0.25 mm) of moisture. I could test trigger one by licking the pad of my thumb and touching it to the electrodes. The valve operator automatically shut off the water when I tested a sensor on the third floor of my house; the hub is on the main/second floor and the water main is in the basement/first floor. You will need to be able to download and use a smartphone app to link all these devices together and personalize any settings such as notification by email, text, banners, sound, etc. Just let you know, or also automatically shut off the water? Also, I recommend scanning the QR codes in the enclosed Quick Start instructions for detailed User Instructions. Definitely worth it.Overall, I am happy with this system and look forward to seeing how well it works over time. It is complete and installation requires a number of distinct steps (details above).A few things that don't leap off the page: you'll need to be comfortable with downloading and using a smartphone app, setting up a 2.4 GHz channel on your router and this only works with a quarter-turn ball valve control on your water main. You'll need to connect a hub directly to your WiFi router and to wall power, and the valve controller setup will need to be close to wall power as well as close to your water main shut-off valve.

Awesome products!
In this age of cheap Chinese garbage, Amazon junk listings, fly-by-night companies, and generally low quality products, it was a REAL TREAT to come across this company and its products. In fact, this product exceeded my expectations by so much that I was half-expecting something terrible to happen, like it bursting on fire or something similar.Firstly, every one of the products I bought, (shut-off valve, hub, 3 water leak sensors, 2 outdoor temp sensors for freezers, and 2 indoor temp sensors for environmental control), are SOLIDLY MADE. You can feel it in your hand, and it's a feeling that's getting rarer and rarer these days for consumer goods. They're well-made and just SOLID, with absolutely nothing feeling cheap at all.Installation of the shut-off valve was so ridiculously easy I was almost in shock about it. I did have to trim the sprinkler box that my valve was inside, but my multi-tool made short work of the plastic box. (See pics.) I only had slight difficulty with the included band clamps, one of which wasn't manufactured correctly and wouldn't tighten. In fact, fiddling with the large clamp trying to get it to work took more time than anything else I did, including trimming the box! I eventually went with the two smaller clamps, which worked excellently. The whole install took perhaps 30 minutes, including digging out and putting away tools. Perhaps a helpful note - don't try to activate the valve without first pressing on the release button on the bottom of the unit case, the lever won't budge. The rest of the devices went into my freezers, attic, and garage without issue. When I got to the software, that's where I really expected there to be problems, since many of these "smart" companies aren't very smart at all, and they don't seem to test their apps for user-friendliness before releasing them. However, I was amazed at how simple it all really was. Getting the hub online, adding devices to it, creating rooms, configuring alarms, etc, all of it was quick and absolutely painless. The only real quibble I could have, (and it isn't much of one at all), is that the alarm section took a moment to figure out. But within a ridiculously short time I had all the devices added and their operating parameters set. Perhaps another helpful note - when you turn on a device for the first time, give it a full minute to link up to the hub. If you don't, the device will add to the hub but it will show as offline, and won't appear to ever come online. After doing that twice, (adding the device within a few seconds of turning it on), I then waited a few for the rest and they added without issue. All of my testing, (temperatures turning on fans and heaters, water leaks activating the valve, etc), all passed with flying colors. All in all, this just feels like money well spent, and YoLink has become one of my favorite companies. Highly recommend.

Can auto-shut your water main
Worked well. Setup was fairly easy, around 30min start to finish. Tested it both manually and with water on a sensor and it shut the water main as expected. App setup was very easy with the included QR codes. Worth it to me for the peace of mind that the water main will shut off even if nobody is home.
