Redundant
A waste of money. Just use your watch and phone. I don’t know why I bought this useless thing. Buyer’s remorse. Only buy this thing if you feel you need something for a long race. It does work well with the Vadar system, so I can’t really fault the thing. Just think about if you really need another expensive and redundant gadget.

Complicated setup but happiness in the end
Bought this refurbished unit a couple of weeks ago. Found myself overwhelmed by its complexity andthe number of data screens it could display. After using it on the bike for a couple of weeks, spent an hourwith it this afternoon and got it set up the way I want.Wasn't concerned about buying Garmin refurbished, have bought refurbished Garmin gear before and never had a problem.Looking forward to tomorrow morning's ride to see if what I set up today is what I want on the bike. Now that I've fiddled with it, I'm sure I can get it dialed in.It measures WAY more things than are meaningful to me, which is part of why setup is complicated, but everything I want is there and the added navigation/climbing features will be great. I'm pretty sure I will activate route tracking after I get comfortable with what I have set up so far. It's a lot easier to activate a feature you think you don't want than to find that the device lacks a measurement that's critical to you.

Did not pair to Garmin radar.
I purchased a refurbished device hoping that I could save some money and get a functional if not perfect cosmetic device. The device would not pair with my Garmin Varia radar despite updating the firmware of radar and device, and standing in a field with no other devices to pair. I guess whoever refurbished this didn't check to see if it would pair with other devices.
