Q: My do is 23 pounds, recommended another r product

Product didn’t hold up for my 11 pound dog, even though he was sitting still. It collapsed in the front and fell onto the tire.

Q: Is there a mesh cover on top?

No, but it has 2 fixing strapes on the top to make sure your items or your pet securely in the basket.

Q: How tall does the bike head stem have to be?

It is installed on a 26” women’s bike. Not sure on the size of the stem.

Q: Does it work on a kids bike?

Probably not, wouldn't work on a 10 speed, however, worked perfect on a standard bike. On the 10 speed, the distance between the top of the handlebar and the front tire was not enough.
