Whelen Engineering Century Series Super-LED Mini Lightbar, 16" MAGNETIC MOUNT - Amber w/ Clear Dome

This thing is plenty bright with a mix of linear (at the corners) and panels of TIR6-style lights. The cord is a little short if you are mounting near the rear of the vehicle. Magnetic mount is strong but without any cover or coating to protect the rooftop paint (I have tape on them right now.)

This light is awesome. Best by far the best for the money you spend. We have switched all our trucks to some variation of this light. This model is our favorite.

We purchased this light after getting tired of cheaper lights burning out constantly. We installed the light on a new plow truck in Nov. 2022. Its very bright, has lots of patterns to choose from, and has very strong magnets. My problem with it is that it will destroy your rooftop paint without something inbetween the magnets and the paint. I assumed that this light came with rubber feet like most others do, (especially for $290.00) and didn't ask any questions about it when it was put on. It was later that I had to pull the light off to fit the truck in a limited clearance space that I discovered 4 circles with no paint where the magnets attached to the roof. We have since fixed this by placing tape on the feet. I will continue to place these units on new trucks and older trucks that have the cheap lights burn out - we know will also place tape on the magnets. Overall, happy with the quality of the light, its the best you can get right now, just not happy that they don't cover the feet when the light is so expensive.

I mostly use this on my Toyota 4Runner with a roof basket. My vehicle gets used as an assistance truck for endurance bicycle races, and other public service events. I upgraded from a twin rotator Whelen Responder II. Love this LED bar. What I love about this is the extra bright LED's, low amperage use (can keep it turned on without the engine running and no fear of coming back to a dead battery), and the variability of flash patterns allows the user to fit their lighting preferences.One thing I don't particularly like is that on ALL flash patterns, the LED heads on each side are all ganged together, so you have all four left side flashing together and all four right side flashing together. It would have been nice to have flash patterns that had the individual led heads flashing separately. It would give a more randomized look to the flashes. I miss that about the old Responder 2, rotating halogens with reflectors. Not anything i would take off points in a review over, but a personal preference.
