Worth paying for a quality pen
As a nurse, I rely heavily on pens throughout my day—whether I’m updating charts, labeling, or jotting down quick notes during rounds. The Pilot FriXion Ball 4 (4 Colors Gel Ink) has honestly been a game-changer for me.The pen feels high-quality in the hand, writes smoothly, and the ability to switch between four colors (black, blue, red, green) instantly is incredibly helpful for staying organized. I use different colors to separate notes by priority or patient info, and it helps me keep everything straight during hectic shifts. The erasable ink is a huge bonus. I can make quick corrections without messy cross-outs or needing white-out. The eraser doesn’t leave smudges or damage the paper either, which is a big deal when working on official documents.Battery-wise (or more accurately, ink-life-wise), it holds up well with daily use. I’ve had mine for a few weeks, using it every single day, and the ink is still going strong.Yes, it’s a bit pricier than your standard pen, but honestly, for the quality and convenience—especially in my field—it’s worth every penny. If you’re in healthcare or just someone who values a reliable, functional writing tool, this pen is definitely worth trying.

Nice for journaling and planner scheduling
I use these almost exclusively for my daily planner and am very happy with them so far. I used to use a pencil because I could easily erase and move things but I was wanting some color options without having to carry a bunch of pencils or pens around. This is the perfect compromise. The 4 colors allow me to color code my most noted categories of info I include in my planner but I can easily erase mistakes or move things around. They write smoothly and are very legible for me. I haven't had any smearing issues but really, even if they do, you can just erase it. The pens are all plastic so they're lightweight but still feel durable enough for daily use/carry. I also don't think they're too bulky like some multi-color pens can get. The amount of ink for each color isn't a ton but that's a reasonable trade-off for carrying 4 colors in 1 pen.

Residency essential
Multicolored pens are one of my residency essentials! These pens write smoothly and easily switch colors. I have a designated color for prerounding notes, to do list, afternoon rounds etc and the erasability is an added bonus.

Used items received
I bought like new item for a dollar discount. But what I received were 2 pens that looked older and used more than my pens that are more than 4 years old. The 8 inks total in both pens were all empty. Im greatly disappointed. Please inspect items before shipped out.

The last pens you'll ever want
These are the best erasable pens. As a nurse, good pens are really important and these are a MUST have in my work bag.

Great for Students and Professionals
I first tried this pen because my teenaged son has issue with severe double jointedness and needs thicker pens/pencils to avoid pain. He also has issues with his handwriting, so he erases a lot. I went with the multicolor option because I'm a nurse and use different colors for certain days and critical info on more report sheets. We both love these pens so much that I have bought a few backups. Erasing mistakes or info I found out was incorrect is a breeze. Replacing the ink cartridges is also very easy. You can choose different colors or replacement ink when yiu purchase refills, which allows individuality. My only complaint is that the ink runs out more quickly than traditional pens. Considering it has made my son's life at school and my life as an ICU nurse easier, I'd still buy these pens over any other. The eraser has lasted through every refill, about 6 months, and it barely has a small slant in it. The pen itself is very sturdy and has suffered many drops without any defect.
