Great for a beginner
These reeds are great for my son who is a beginner clarinet player (It’s his first year). The reeds are great quality, he is able to produce quality sounds.

Perfect reeds for beginner students
I bought these reeds for my son when he expressed interest playing the clarinet. These are the exact reeds I began with myself almost 40 years ago! The 1.5s helped him ease into his first lesson with me. These reeds are very soft, so they are very easy to produce a sound without being winded. This also allows the student to work on his/her embouchure without puffing our their cheeks and biting too hard on the mouthpiece as they try to produce a sound. We didn’t get through half of the box before he switched to a harder reed, so we donated the rest to students at our local middle school. The quality is as consistent as you’d normally get from a decent brand of reeds, but be aware that when you purchase a box, you will have some that aren’t up to par. This is normal across the board. This reed, a good mouthpiece (Vandoren B45 series), and encouraging a consistent practice schedule makes for a good start.

BEST. CLARINET. REEDS.
Definitely the best brands i’ve tried. Tried countless brands like Vandoren ,Rico etc. These are definitely the best and the ease you get while playing is just fantastic! These reeds definitely improved my sound quality and tone. I definitely recommend these as a 4 year player.

Easy to play on
These are what my son uses these for practice since they are less expensive but he prefers the Vandoren v12 reeds for performances. I’m not sure if that’s just psychological or not, I can’t hear a difference - but as long as he’s playing his clarinet I’m ok with it.We seem to go through a lot of reeds so if he wants to save me a little money I’m down for it.These sound great to me and he is happy enough to use them for the most part so I would recommend them for clarinet parents. Reeds seems to be a personal voice for the kiddos but give them a few options to try and see what they like.

Affordable way to buy reeds
My daughter plays the clarinet. I love being able to buy a bunch of reeds at the beginning of the school year to get her through the year. These reeds seem to hold up well to a middle school player.

My favorite
I’ve tried a lot of clarinet reeds, and these are my favorite right now. I find them to be very responsive, without needing a “breaking in” period like some brands do. They can last a long time if you take care of them.

Highly Recommended Reeds
My 13 yr. old daughter likes these reeds. They were recommended by a guy who owns a music store down in Las Vegas. We bought a sax and clarinet from him and he is very knowledgeable. He told me these would be the best to get for my daughter and that they were reasonably priced compared to others that are "supposed" to be better. My daughter has been playing clarinet for almost 2 yrs. She has never had any issues with these.
