Good power, easy assembly, fast
Great little log splitter, I had my doubts about how well it would work but it proved that it has some power. Assembly was easy enough and the motor started up on the second pull.I tried it on 16” diameter pine that was full of knots, it got through them and split through the knots. Straighter grained wood was no match, cycle time was great and kept up with handling the chunks. The motor ran great the whole time and seemed to be properly sized for the job.I strongly recommend for a homeowner that wants something small but powerful for occasional use, if you need to split more than a few cords this isn’t going to meet your needs.

It's not perfect for everyone, but it's perfect for me!
The media could not be loaded. The SUPERHANDY 20 ton log splitter made quick work of some 20" turkey oak! This was from a dying turkey oak tree I cut down a few weeks prior. The two speed pump really helps split smaller wood FAST and switches to low gear, high pressure, on the 20" bigger stuff. It's not HEAVY DUTY, but it was cost effective and it'll work great for a homeowner like me!Helpful tip. The ram is a bit "small" in diameter vs splitters costing well over a thousand dollars, make sure you logs have straight cuts on the ends and are at least 16" long!If you've got a short and crooked log, the ram could bend!!Top marks for:Very Cost effective (especially when it goes on a super sale!)COMPACT2 speed pumpQuite at 1/3 ~ 1/2 throttle (plenty of power!)Fairly foolproofEasy to transport, it's not that heavy!Auto return leverSuper sharp wedgeFAST cycle timeLOTS of splitting force!ConsIt's not really a "HEAVY DUTY" splitter. It's not trying to be either. Not towable (towable models are WAAAAY above this price point!)This is great if you're looking for a cost effective, COMPACT, gas powered log splitter.Other splitters will give you higher horsepower, name brands, more force, better cutting accessories, longer run time (larger hydraulic tank), faster speeds, and a more robust ram design, BUT at a much much higher price point.

Works well. . .
East to assemble, needed 1/2 qt of 10w30 oil for engine, fuel, & 2 gallons hydraulic fluid for ram setup. Started right up and split some average logs I had laying around. Real test to come when I split some live oak in the next week or two. Up to 16” in diameter & 18” long. It’s 116 heat index so I’m waiting awhile. Ram works smoothly but seems to push right on the larger logs as it extends to its full length. Hope it isn't bending and wonder if it can really handle 16" wide logs.November 2022 Update, have run a cord of live oak thru this splitter. Pro’s: fast, lots of power, strong engine, easy to move around. Con’s: track bar bent on one side, power ram has started to track/push right as it compresses the log, which is the side the track bar has bent, pretty loud, one of the plastic tires has developed a flat spot so it rolls lumpy.

OK; a true review after first use and I am pleasantly surprised!
OK, I will start with the bad news, the 2 ~5mm pins and clips to attach the control lever to the control block were missing so could not just put it together and get after it! Had to find suitable replacements and I am presently working with Amazon/third party seller to get the parts. BTW, the "contact seller" on the Amazon page is WRONG. had to go through chat to get help with these missing parts so will take a few days, I will post back if I get the proper replacement parts. So I thought the instructions and manual were good, no problems with assembly other than the missing pins! The splitter was well packaged but various parts had minor, cosmetic scratches. Not a big deal to most people, but I would prefer to have a new item without scratches and scrapes on the major components such as the hydraulic ram. There were questions on the oil capacities; mine took a full 2 gallons of hydraulic oil. Per other reviews they said "not quite 2 gallons". I put ~1.8 gallons in, checked the dipstick, then ran it for about a minute and shut it down. Once the hoses were all pressurized the dipstick was low and I put in the full 2 gallons, seems perfect. Ordered another gallon. the motor took about 1/3 qt of oil. Again, after running it for a minute I checked and topped off the crankcase oil too. BTW, started on the second pull! Restarted on first pull on a couple of restarts. So, to splitting; I was only splitting fresh cut pine, maybe 10" diameter max and in 15 minutes I split a bunch of wood! It is soft wood but splits great! I was happy with the speed of the "auto return ram". With a couple people you could crank out some split wood. I only have about an hour on the machine but I am pleasantly surprised on the assembly and operation. I would recommend this splitter for a home unit. Will see how it holds up long term but I am easy on my equipment and I anticipate it lasting a long time.As others have mentioned I had a small drip on the low pressure hose at the hydraulic pump after the first use. I tightened up the hose clamp and may need another or a better clamp, will see if is still drips, I hate drips!Nice item!

Works great
This log splitter is amazing. We had an oak tree that needed to be cut down. We kept the wood for burning. This item is amazing. It split the wood so easy. I would highly recommend this log splitter
