Lead Like Christ
A.W. Tozier has done an excellent job of examining Christian leadership. The master teacher and role model obviously is Jesus Christ. To lead like Christ, we must be holy as He is holy. We must live like Jesus lived. We must love like Jesus loved. We must serve like Jesus served." I have been crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.Galatians 2:20 "

Learn to Lead like Christ
In Lead like Christ, James has edited the original story from A.W. Tozer and complied into a new collection. This book discussed how we can become more effective leaders and to lead like Christ would lead the Church. The book looked at in great detail the book of Titus and how Paul was instilled to mentor him and help him to lead like Christ. He begins the book by sharing how Saul became Paul and was transformed into a Christ follower. He explained how this only occurs when believers have a completely encounter with Christ and they receive them as their personal Savior. Titus was an uncircumcised Greek with a Roman name. Around that time, there was a lot of persecution and Stephen had just been martyred. He was born in Antioch and this was a missionary church. He met Paul and was led to Christ. He explained how Paul taught Titus in the ways of Christ and he became a missionary. He became anointed with the Holy Ghost and he travelled around and even went back to Jerusalem. He had two big goals to kill poverty and get rid of stinginess in Corinth. Titus was gifted with the talent to organize. He used three words to describe Titus and these were integrity, discretion, and enthusiasm. Tozer explained how if we are going to be a reflection of Christ. We must learn to display all these qualities to become representatives of spiritual leadership.I would recommend this awesome updated and edited version of Lead Like Christ to anyone who is ready to get introduced to a historical writer. I immensely liked how it included up to date examples in the book where readers can grasp the message of building our character and learning to reflect the qualities of Christ. One of my favorite chapters discussed how we need to all learn how to deny whatever is ungodly and not fall into the lust of the world. One of the key struggles is for believers to have a backbone and to deny whatever else someone else is doing. I connected with how he revealed how the saints have become the celebrities of today’s time and we tend to follow whatever they are practicing or promoting. I loved how he included many radical truths about understanding Biblical doctrine. This book will guide readers into stepping into their own personal leadership servant role of Christ.

Tozer Says It Best
Book Review: Lead like ChristBy A. W. TozerEdited by James L. Snyder.Dr. Snyder has compiled a series of sermons based on the New Testament book of Titus by A.W. Tozer.Tozer aims his writings to “those with an incurable hunger and thirst for the deep things of God.”This work should be considered a workbook to raise up men and women to become the Christian leaders needed in our world today.I found myself caught up by the concept of purpose. Some of today’s believers follow Christ but do not realize they have a purpose for following him. It can be a challenge for some Christ-followers to discover their purpose. I know it was mine. I found out recently that our purpose can change as we advance in age and deterioration of our state of health.I would recommend this book to anyone who is seriously searching for a closer walk with the LORD. Because of the shortness of each chapter, I believe it would make a good study book for a small group made up of such Christians. I would also recommend this to be in any pastor’s personal library.(1.) Lead like Christ, by A.W. Tozer and James Snyder, Bethany House, © (James Snyder), 2021, page 7.

Another Great Title By Tozer
"Lead Like Christ" is a compilation of thoughts and writings by AW Tozer on being a leader like Jesus Christ. The book is around 180 pages and addresses many topics related to leading in Christian ministry. I am almost finished reading this title and here's what I like about it:- Full of excellent spiritual insights like only Tozer could do.- Really like the emphasis on character instead of easy 1-2-3- formulas you must follow to be successful. Indeed, character counts most!- Covers many relevant topics on Christian leadership.- While the book seems to focus on vocational ministers, any believer in and follower of Jesus Christ can apply these principles in their particular vocation.- Stays close to the Bible instead of rambling on topics and points that stray away from spiritual emphasis. Will definitely be read again and a treasured addition to my AW Tozer personal library. Highly recommended and will be read again.

A Wonderful Book on Leadership
First, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to James L. Snyder, who complied and edited A.W. Tozer's work and his publisher for sending me a copy of "Lead Like Christ" to review for them. I am truly grateful for this generosity. I really appreciate the time, effort and expense it takes to make a reviewer copy available to me.“Lead Like Christ” by A.W. Tozer is an incredible read for every Christian! As Christians, we are called to make disciples and spread the Gospel. That makes every Christian a leader! This book provides great encouragement, training and wisdom from the Scriptures to enlighten the Christian regarding our role in leadership.Nineteen chapters on different aspects of leadership are available to read straight through or jump around to different topics. My suggestion would be to read the work straight through, then keep it on your reference shelf to refer back to specific chapters as you need to. This book is a great gift to give to others and yourself.
