Worked like a charm...Samsung SM-T290 tablet

My son had his new tablet for approximately 72 hours before he tried to force the charger into the port- breaking the port and leaving the new tab useless. I was ready to scream until I looked up some videos on YouTube and realized, even with a skill level of 0, I could probably handle switching it myself. This seller had a great price and was able to get it to me next day. The kit came with everything I needed, and I was thankful for the magnetic screwdriver that was included- it made handling the tiny screws super easy. Also- this seller reached out to be sure that everything had arrived and to see if I had any questions about how to switch it out. It was amazing to receive that support. 10 minutes after receiving my package I had the port switched out, back together, and on the charger. When I saw the tablet charging I cried happy tears. Seller gives good install instructions that were easy to follow. Extra tools besides what we’re provided were needed to open the back of the tablet. Once installed the port worked great for a few weeks and it’s slowly lost function. It now doesn’t recognize the port and when it is plugged into charge the battery has a red x through it like it doesn’t recognize the charging port. It still charges despite this but it takes upwards of 2 full days to reach full charge almost like the charging port isn’t interfacing properly with the device/battery.

The install was difficult. You need a separate tool to open the tablet. The port works for the most part. You get a red X when it's charging, but it does charge. The microphone, however, doesn't work, now. You just hear static whenever you play a recording of your voice. Pretty disappointing.
