Well built and compact makes this a good travel lens when you need extreme wide angle views. Of course you must enjoy the fisheye perspective to get the most out of the lens. It is very sharp and has good focus across the field of view. Focus is not a problem with this large of an angle of view.

Love this lens, it pretty much lives on my camera now. I was a canon guy and their 15mm fisheye was my favorite. Unfortunately sony users are slim on fisheye options but i tried this and im very satisfied. For the price you get a nice hefty metal lens that feels much more expensive than the price you pay. Picture quality is great if you can get down with MF like that. Wish the aperture ring had some clicks between each stop cause i tend to accidentally move it and not notice it a lot but other than that its great.

I'm usually a bit critical of lenses. I an a pixel peeper for sure :-) I am not going to say this is as good as a Leica, Zeiss or Voigtlander. But it is surprisingly good for the price. I'm using it in a Sony A7RII 42 megapixel body and the image quality is very good. Considering that a fisheye is unlikely to be a lens you use often, it is well worth the inexpensive price to have it in your bag.

I really wanted a full frame fisheye for a full frame Sony aR7ii. This lens is fantastic. Stop thinking about and just buy it.

Super sharp, very minor chromatic aberration when shooting wide. Very nice fstop and focus dials.
