OtterBox SYMMETRY SERIES 360 Case for iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th Gen ONLY)- SCHOLAR (GREY)

I had been searching for some time now for a case for my 12.9" 5th gen iPad ever since my inateck case stopped working (would not let it charge the pencil and corners were split.I ended up buying cheaper cases and most failed to actually shut down in the sleep/wake mode or just felt too flimsy. I was out shopping and wandered into the Apple Store in Kingston upon Thames to look at cases and found really silly priced apple products etc. floating keyboard is not really convenient for me and I was not going to spend that amount of money for a case.I then spied the otter box symmetry pro elite 360, now this was a much sturdier case and felt great to the touch and as apple endorse it I am thinking rightly or wrongly that it should be ok. Now this case was bright orange and was £89.99 still balked at the price but I need a case…I then searched for the same product on Amazon and there it was £40 cheaper, apple staff confirmed it was the same and was direct from ott3erbox and they can’t beat that discount. So I ordered it at 5pm and it had my iPad sitting in it by 9am next day.Love the case, very sturdy and you won’t be disappointed.

Box came opened with no seal, marks on the front cover and lots of marks/scratches on the back. The part where you use to store the pencil was really slack. It was really obvious it had been used then returned. The case didn’t even sit around the iPad that great but wasn’t keeping it anyway.Returned !!!

I am suspicious that maybe this has been used previously the hinge has a lot of lateral play in it.smart cover is difficult to open once from flap is covered, the only place is along the length of the pencil, if you have it connected. Outer edge of the smart rear cover sits outside of the edge of front cover so very difficult to open easilyAlso thought in the review I saw that this model had a flap that covered the pen holder, it does notThe plastic tabs that hold the pen support in place need to be snapped in position, yet one of them will not. Either poor tolerance on these or the main holder of the iPad rear cover is slightly warped.Does offer vertical stand in multiple positions and elevated horizontal in one position, which I call "elevated keyboard".Rear case rim is proud and means camera lens is protected, clear transparent backOverpriced I feel and the one delivered looked as if used; also I have a "Pro case" off Amazon at £23 as opposed to £92 which is better value for money, feels more robust,. On Pro case Pen is exposed but magnet held in place and there is a secure loop for the pen, when you are out and about. Only -ve of the Pro case is there is no means to have in "elevated Keyboard" position.Still returning Otterbox and staying with Pro case.

Item arrived used, the packaging damaged, the plastic stained and with someone else's fingerprints.... not even taking this out of the box. Going straight back. Absolutely gross.

The pencil holder tray broke quickly- it wouldn’t clip into the location lugs and it split in half - poorly designed and made.
