Humax HDR-1100S 2TB Freesat with Freetime HD TV Recorder - Black (Renewed)

Took a few minutes to set up. The menu system for navigating programs, setting up series record and replay is very easy to use. It does everything the subcription cable boxes do without the monthly bill. I've no need to go back to monthly cable subscription as I have almost all the same channels through freesat. The seller company has also been very quick and helpful with any queries I had.

Purchased my HUMAX box July 2022, always a little noisy and slow to react but assumed this was normal. May 2023 it stopped working out of the blue, just wouldn’t switch on at all though power supply worked fine. Contacted the company and in no time at all they sent a replacement (which runs silently and with no slow reacting time, which leads me to believe perhaps the first was faulty from the get go, these things happen). Excellent customer service, great product, would recommend.

I have had 4 of these Humax HD recorders and when they are working they are brilliant. I must have spent about a grand on them over the past 3-4 years, and am now about to give up. This latest one was refurbished. I believe because they are no longer available new. I took a risk, but an expensive one at £300+. Frankly from day 1 it has played up; not recording programmes and now losing the signal. The former I put down to a weak signal, the latter I worked out required the device to be shut down and restarted and like magic, the signal returned. It is clearly faulty but I ordered to the UK and live overseas so too much hassle to return. So, I’ll take it on the chin and put it with the other 3 faulty/non working Humaxs I have now gathered. Disappointed, but time to move on……the moral of the story, avoid these refurbished Humaxs as they’ll surely let you down….

Not being a new product Was a bit unsure about it. However you would not know the difference from new. As stated Absolutely Brilliant.

Had a problem with first Humax box but was sorted out quickly by a great company. Would def use again.

Channels offered disappointing, remote control cheap plastic and broke within 2 weeks using it, value for money is a complete expensive let down.

It worked as advertised.

After 5 years, I cannot fault this unit....... But alas Humax dont support it anymore (last online update - 24 May 2022) and I am now unable get ITVX or All4 on the 'On Demand' section, worth remembering this if you are going to pay over £380.
