Love this kettle
Nice looking kettle, boils fairly quickly and not too loud. I like the fact you can change the temperature. Not that I use that function very often, but have used it a few times. It seems good quality and feel it will last a long time. Definitely good value for money.

Fabulous kettle!
This kettle is brilliant! It looks really nice but first time Iโve had a kettle with temperature control on it - itโs great to use a lower temperature for herbal teas. Fast delivery. Highly recommend.

Brilliant
This is our second temperature control kettle as we drink a lot of green tea. The first one lit up like a beautiful blue bulb, but lasted 2 years. I bought this kettle because my wife wanted one to match the kitchen ๐. So, far I cannot fault it. It pours without spilling, it's super simple to use, one button push after your temperature has been chosen. It even tells you the water temperature of your tap water before starting. It goes up in 5 degree touches, from 40 to 95. Top button, press once, tap temperature needed in, leave alone. The lower button is a keep warm button... Super simple..... Don't worry about the cost, its total class, the rolls Royce of kettles, looks great too... Buy it. After 3 months of use I have to say I'm in love with this kettle.. It really is lovely.... Sad I know, but it's quick, quiet, and beeps at you when it's ready, it even tells you the water temperature in your tap before booking.

Good for a mid-range kettle
This Haden is very nice. Its a soft satiny green hue - quite unusual. The base is round the lid square-ish and fits nicely. The faux wood is a good contrast. The temp is digitally displayed clearly at the top of the handle. It quickly boiled the 1.7 without any lid spillage and the water temp is ok. It pours well.I am always looking for the holy grail in kettles so if I have any gripes its on these 4 points :1. ) The water level gauge is pretty much hidden underneath the handle and can't really be seen. I'd have liked it to be on the front above the Haden logo for clarity.2) it doesn't have either - a 'cool wall or insulated '- and yes I'd have paid more for these.3) the buttons work well except that the white +/- etc. symbols on them is barely visible against the green to those with poorer eyesight. They could have used black to define the symbols clearly for example.4) the handle is very thick at the middle so us smaller handed persons can't grip it at the tang balance point making it a bit more unstable to hold easily and we can't use the other hand as its not a cool wall !I used to have one of the first Haden Jug Kettles and that handle balance was absolutely perfect. Shame they can't make handles like they used to.All said - its a strong contender in the mid-price value for money modern kettle category.

Worked OK...when it worked
Failed after 11 months of regular home use for 2.When it was working, the temp control was decent (sometimes overshot but reasonable enough to work with)Pour was not smooth, especially with 95+ water.Lid poorly designed and dangerous to remove if recently boiled.Looked nice.

Beautiful
Lovely looking & functional etc but my favourite part is the digital display. You can take it off or set to a specific temperature if you don't want it to go to 100 degrees.

Kettle with style
This likes with this kettle,(1) the lid hold a little water and it drips out (2) The water level is a bit hard to see because the handle is in the way, if it had a light in the water level which will be better. Good thing about this kettle, (1) Beautiful design and wooden finish (2) All metal inside and out (3) Noise level is a little loud,(4) LED is nice and clear reading (5) you can set your temperature to 90, 95,100 degrees for your teas. (6) Just press the top button and press - or + to change the temperature for your tea and leave, after it will start boiling and when it's finish boil, it will make 4 beeps. In buying a good kettle, I have spend 4 days looking for a good kettle but all the ones I look at have 1, 2 , 3 or 4 stars with problems. This company have a good history in England so i base my decision on this together with the reviews in the past. I hope this review helps by Merv.

Disapppointed
Had 2 of these Haden kettles, was hoping a British firm would make a good product but not for me. The kettle looks ok but, just like other reviews say, it has a lid that can be tricky to remove. At this price surely it should have a button operated lid that you press to release. The temp control is a bit of a nice to have but in reality it doesnt work very well. If you want 100 degrees boiling water, it takes about 30 seconds or longer to switch off, filling the kitchen with steam and wasting energy. If you set it to 95 or lower, its OK. it also seems to take ages to start boiling when switched on, so this is a poor technical issue. Its also very noisy. I have no complaints about the Haden customer service, they offered a replacement and it came but was sadly worse than the first one! I was then told I could have another but if I wanted a refund to approach Amazon which they have done, 8 months after purchase which is great service from Amazon. Shame about this.... made in China ...."British product". The Dualit Architect kettle I now have as a replacement, is perfect.
