Q: What is the length of the piece that is inserted into the ear canel? In other words how deep do these do in the ear canal?

It is ear plugs with pieces that hold the earplugs in. The ear plugs are basic regular size. my finding they are not better than regular ear plugs. My opinion is they simply are not worth the asking price. Just my opinion. If you order them, I hope they will satisfy.

Q: Can I use it for swimming or surfing at the beach？

Going abroad with my family to keep my ears out of the water, and they all said it was fine.

Q: If they fall out, does that mean I need a size bigger or a size smaller?

I think that you need customized Ear Plugs like me, as well because I had Surgery on my Left Ear Drum and I feel pain after using it!!!
