HOBBYMATE M3 Nylon Standoffs Spacer Screw Bolt for Building PC PCB Motherboard Standoffs

This isn't the biggest kit around, but it's a great kit for a field bag. Every size standoff you could need. Very well made nylon without any slag or bad threads. Box is sturdy and well organized. This kit has saved me twice now after crashes that would have sent me back home.Not the kit to buy if you're looking to build a dozen drones. But definitely one to have if you're flying a dozen drones.

The Hex size of all standoffs is 5.5mmAll male thread Lengths are 6mmFemale thread depth is at least 6mm on all !Except the 6mm height standoff, i think it is 4mm deepHeights(mm): 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20Great for plastic standoff. But I regret not getting thinner(round) metal versions.The hex shape is hitting parts of my electric board that a round metal standoff would not.I've broken 1 of these off inside a metal female hole from over tightening it.I've had to cut the male threading down for my uses. pretty easy with wire cutters.

This is a nice assortment of nylon spacers, screws and nuts of M3 size. And, M3 is the pretty common in open frame UAV's. Nylon is good for 'shear' connections, so these would break, rather than an expensive body part in the event of a crash. I'd like to see two things added to the assortment, some 'all thread' and 'barrel nuts'. I guess you could get those in a larger assortment. So, maybe a larger assortment of sizes and types would be the way to go. But, this is a good little kit for the price.

this came in the mail a week ago.i finally got around to opening it up and taking a look.in general this is a very high quality kit, and i think it cannot be beat for the price.i pulled some of the pieces out and put them in a couple pictures below so you can see what you're getting.i have had some lower quality plastic hardware in the past that broke as soon as you got it tight, but these seem to be built to last.

Great for custom PCB or motherboard mounting. Personally, I bought them to use as a spacer for the tempered glass side panel on my Lian-Li PC-O11x case, because the power cables for my graphics card needed a bit more elbowroom... They are strong enough to withstand the weight of the tempered glass panel without breaking, though I probably wouldn't trust them in an earthquake....The second smallest standoff gave me the perfect clearance to install an EVGA PowerLink adapter on my EVGA 1080ti FTW3, for a cleaner build.

I have a lot of loose Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi Zero boards. I decided to put them into cases, but didn't feel like buying cases for each of them. So I got some acrylic from the local hardware store and laser cut the patterns out on the sheets of acrylic.These nylon screws are perfect for holding the boards and acrylic together. They also add a nice black accent to the finished design.

These are a great product. If you are building a drone, use these only for fc or stack mounting. Used for frame building would be a bad idea. If glued in place with ca glue they are very strong and hold up well. When it comes time to remove them they will be destroyed and need to be completely replaced. That said, they are perfect for what I us them for. I've never found a bad thread on any standoff screw or nut. Good quality built product.Thanks

If you want sturdy - this isn't what you want. Somehow, I expected these to be some kind of ultra-durable nylon hybrid or something. They're super lightweight plastic. I intended to use these with my motherboard, which may end up being OK. The threads don't fit your standard motherboard screws. Luckily it comes with "nylon" screws that do fit the threads.On the positive side, they're super light. And if you need to cut off the end of the threaded portion or shorten a standoff slightly, they're easy to shave down with sand paper or a dremmel or to trim with some scissors or an exacto-knife. It contains a good variety of lengths - and, if you need more of the longer ones, you may be able to screw together a couple of short ones. And if you can't thread your metal holes for the standoffs, drill your holes slightly larger, and use the accompanying nylon nuts underneath.So - overall, I'm keeping them
