Awesome
Love this stretch shade tent. It comes in a sturdy bag but we need to get the zip replaced, we use it a lot it is great for our camping trips and going to the beach.

Compacta y funcional,
Buena compra. Me gustó el color, la sombra es buena y se sostiene muy estable. Es facil de instalar. Como la compré en promoción el precio me parece justo. Si fuera más costosa tal vez no la compraría.

Surprise 5 star Review
Honestly, I'm a little surprised to be giving a 5 star review for this family beach tent. It's super light weight. The material feels like a soft jersey fabric--the only thing I can compare it to. It's not the parachute type fabric or tent fabric, but an actual soft fabric, lightweight and easy to repack. the poles are aluminum and pack away in sections with a black ball-thingie on top. All I can say, of all the options out there for beach pop-ups, covers, tents, whatever, this is in a class by itself. And at first, I was not pleased at all.On day one of our 3 day trip, I sent my 2 grown kids on ahead to set up with no directions and no idea what this was supposed to look like. They sent the first picture as proof of shade because granny don't tan. As you can see, they put the poles closer to the corners, not as pictured above. When I got to our site, no kidding, I was kissing my $119 goodbye because no way was that flappy thing staying put for 10 minutes, much less 3 full beach days, especially with the wind conditions (non-stop, crazy wind with no-swim warnings everywhere the whole trip.) Smartie pants children assured me this was a great design and held up by tension and the wind was *helping* and, btw, they knew how to set up a tarp to catch the breeze thanks Mom. (I will admit to googling the brands of pop-up shelters nearby and trying to figure if we could get delivery at the beachhouse.)For three days, I sat under this beach tent and never really got used to all that flapping but I *did* learn to trust the design. One pole slipped on the first day but it was back in place in less than a minute and nothing ever fell again. We did learn that it helps to shovel away the loose sand and make a small divot or hole in the hard packed sand for the poles to sit in. Nothing deep, just an inch or so. After that, the poles didn't move. The bungie cords keep the material tight to the poles at the top and never loosened or flew off. We didn't bury the sandbags as suggested by other reviewers. We also filled ours with loose dry sand that was super lightweight. I'm thinking we could have wet the sand down inside the bags if needed but it never was so we didn't.Every night, the kids took the tent down and toted it back to the house. Super easy and quick. They threw it in the wagon until the last take-down when it went back in the bag. It's in just as good a shape as it was when we got there and that is saying something. The same cannot be said for all those other tents and popups around us. I saw quite a few crumbling by that third day.I'm very surprised. And pleased. And still surprised. We had plenty of shade/room for 5 adults and 2 littles. Most of the time, we had three adults and had plenty of space for a blow up lounger and a couple of lawn chairs under the 10x9. It was nice and cool with all that flapping and wind-blowing. That's a 79"x83" sandproof blanket on the ground for reference. You can see there's lots of shade all around and plenty of sandy play space. This tent made our trip. And that's really saying something.

Update: Broke after 4 days of use
It was working great, it's light, easy to put up, and quiet compared to others, but one of the bags came apart from the canopy and the pole bent, so now I can't use it. It was way too much money for 4 days of use. I will be contacting the company to see what can be done and updating this review.Update: I did contact the company and they sent me another canopy and I got to keep the broken one. I will now have extra polls.

Great don’t leave home without it.
This beats my red sport umbrella hands down. Light weight easy to put up. I purchased this as used in December 2020 for $87. After looking at all the different manufacturers and prices all over the board I realized all are made of Lycra. Some have cords for the sandbags some use Lycra. So why spend $160 vs $87 or $119 (current price).Bottom line this works. We had 15 to 20 mph wind and it held up. The first day I stretched it and it-was flapping slightly in the wind. I was afraid I would rip it if I stretched it further. Next day I REALLY STRETCHED IT. And it didn’t flap in the wind. Make sure you fill the bags to the max. Even fully filled the bags will move inward when you install the poles. Grab the TOP section of the poles not the middle or the bottom to prevent breaking or bending the pole and place 1-1 1/2 ft. from the corner. Then push the poles vertical. Easy for one person to put up. I found it easier to install the bungee around the ball when the pole was chest high and then put the pole vertical.I was concerned about sun protection since you could see the clouds thru the canopy. My wife didn’t use sunscreen the entire week and got a light tan. So yes it provides sun protection. This is lighter than my red sportbrella and easily fit 6-8 people comfortably. I also measured the distance between the poles when erected. I purchased the 10x9 model and the poles were 11ft apart on the long side and 8 1/2 ft on the short side. You can also install on grass using tent stakes or concrete using bricks, rocks or anything heavy. My poles were sturdy so I don’t know how people break them. Probably holding the bottom or middle when installing. Why carry a 40 pound large bulky pop up that needs at least 2 people to set up? Did not have any rain so I cannot comment on waterproof. I know it’s not completely waterproof but how much will be revealed in future usage. Only downfall I have found. Some of my wife’s purses are larger than the carrying bag for the Umardoo! I also prefer the bungee cord design vs the all Lycra new design.I hope this review is helpful for people on the fence about purchasing one. A lot of people stopped by and asked about it, took pictures of the Umardoo logo to purchase from Amazon. You can spend a little or spend a lot for the same sun shelter. You decide. Would buy again definitely.
