Great Antenna
Great antenna! I have had many Tram antennas as a HAM and they never let me down!

The mount is a polymer plastic and not made of Starboard
Very good price point for a VHF antenna. Very easy to install and the shorter antenna stainless rod doesn’t get in the way when folded down for trailering the boat. I especially liked the removable mail connector which made installing the wire through the bimini top bow to conceal the cable simple and easy. I highly recommend this VHF antenna and base.

easy to install. I like the shorter length and it's adjustable to just about any mounting location.

Worked For My 18ft Bowrider
Didn't want a huge antenna. This measures a total of 47". The whip is 39". The base is 4". And the mount is 4". Cable is 23ft. I don't go past the break walls which is approximately 1 and half to 2 miles out. I was able to hear the BOLO's and other boaters hailing each other on Channel 16 then switching over to appropriate channels to convers. So this set up works for me. Highly recommended to do your homework to determine which antenna will work for you.

Exceptional value
Inexpensive unit with great range! I'm miles from lake Erie and far back in the woods and it still can pick up the conversation. Im happy with it!

didnt want the 8 foot one that was on the boat, I use 99% for lake and river, this was easy to install and much smaller
