Stainless steel body 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Better than I was expecting after reading some of the reviews, I ordered a stainless steel housing and seems to be thick enough to last a lifetime .The stainless steel is about as thick as a dinner plate also the lights are plenty bright and defuse the well. I would recommend this to any of you looking for a good light I will be ordering two more of these . I forgot to say that when on I'm reading less then 0.5 of a amp and it does not even register on my meter .

Great replacement light fixture
When I first installed one of the dome lights, if figured it would last a season and I would need to do it all again, but over the last 2 seasons, I have continued to replace my incandescent lights with the red/white led ones here. All are working great and I just got 4 more to replace the last of my old ones. I love them. I do have to drill out the mounting holes. It seems they use some kind of cheap press, so I drill then out and they install great.

Great value
I love Seasense products. Reasonable prices for quality marine stuff. I've used the plastic version in a couple of boats now. Bright, low energy use and the red light option are all pluses to me. The better half wanted the metal look for our new liveaboard. Same reliability and function at about half the price of similar products.

Nice cool lights that save power
Nice lights that fit well and work even better than the originals. I like these better as if someone leaves them on they don't get hot as the normal ones do and use so much power. The only thing I'm not a fan of it the color as it seems a bit blue instead of the warmer yellow as with regular bulbs.

Lights started failing after a year
Ok brightness and great to have ability to turn red or white. Looks nice. One switch broke off. The units says stainless but are not all stainless inside and all corroded badly attached to a steel frame, to the point of failure over 7 years.

Great Red/White dome light.
The media could not be loaded. These replaced white only domes for our kitchen area on our Nordhavn yacht. Direct replacement, same screw holes. Better white light and now red for night running.

Do not purchase for saltwater environment
Worked great for a week. Stainless started showing rust after a few weeks. Red lights stopped working after a month.Would not purchase again.

Fraction of the price of others, has nice polished stainless steel housing, but plastic switch.
It looks almost exactly like the $80+ LED cabin lights I already have mounted in my boat. The housing is polished stainless steel, is mounted by 3 stainless steel screws (included), and operates with a 3 position (off-white-red) toggle switch like my other LED cabin lights. The differences are: 1) toggle switch is plastic (not metal like on my other units), 2) the 3 stainless steel mounting screws were too short for my mounting needs, and 3) the outer diffusing lens has far fewer refraction angles (the ripples) so it gives out a harsher -less diffused- bluish white light. So, for a fraction of the cost I get a pretty good approximation to my other units, with a few cost cutting compromises. We'll see if they last as long.
