Great 1 gallon pitcher!CAUTION: Do not do, what I do to mine!You could get badly burned with hot water if you’re not careful.I’m only telling you my story so you can see how tough these pitchers are.My first Rubbermaid pitcher just gave up the ghost a couple of weeks ago. I used it to make ice tea with boiling water, steep the bags, then throw it into a refrigerator until cold.I never felt like it gave off any gasses or odd smells. It never warped.That first one lasted several years doing this torture test day in and day out! A gallon of ice tea lasts me half a week or so.It is an actual Rubbermaid brand pitcher and proved its mettle. It finally sprung a small leak after years of abuse. I had to toss it out and get a replacement.I heat up water in a kettle to boiling (or near boiling), then pour it directly into the plastic pitcher (over a sink, thinking this will be the time the bottom melts out)!It did not melt the bottom out of it after all that time. When it died I was pretty sad. It was a fun and interesting experiment. They changed the design from my earlier one. But seems to be just as tough. I make ice tea like always and the new one handles it the same.I’ll buy another after I bust this one. They clean up easy and are rugged. I can’t give it any greater praise than that.

Best cheaper pitcher I’ve owned. Doesn’t leak when pouring, the cylindrical design is easy to hold, good quality, and easy to clean.

Very nice pitcher works well

I haven’t been able yo find a suitable tea pitcher in a brick and mortar store and I’ve looked for a few months. This Rubbermaid is perfect. No leaks, fits perfectly in our fridge, easy to clean and the tea that I make is perfect!

There’s nothing wrong with this item except that buyer beware in terms of height. Read specs carefully. It does not fit in my refrigerator and is much larger than Rubbermaid pitchers I’ve had in the past. I tried to return it but encountered a (sizable) charge for returning an Amazon purchase for the first time. So I guess I’ll just use it to wash the dog.

This holds a gallon of liquid. This is very good for tea. It is clear on color and the lid can control the flow. You twist the lid to flow or no..

This is a great, well made pitcher. I was concerned about how the lid would stay in place. It has a nice locking system No worries about spilling the entire gall of liquid.
