I enjoy teaching music and found this snare to be an effective kit for my kids who are learning. Without spending a ton of money on a rental or major brand, this kit offers everything that is needed to learn. Sounds pretty good to me as well!

This is a good instrument. I bought it for my then 11 year old son about a year ago. During Covid isolation last summer, using YouTube videos, he taught himself to play it. Now he has a solid understanding rhythm and beats I'm building him a drum kit around this piece. I see no reason to replace it. The stand seems OK but not as good as the drum. This is a great way to see if your kid actually likes to play drums before committing to having a whole kit taking up space in your home. We watched you tube videos and re-tuned it ourselves with no issues. It sounds good.

We purchased this drum for our son who wanted to join his schools percussion team. After taking him to his first lesson his professional instructor determined the drum was defective and cannot be tuned. I have contacted the seller with no response and since we learned the drum was defective outside the return window we are stuck unless the seller or Amazon steps up to remediate this issue. Very dissatisfied at this time and will update review in the event that the seller or Amazon do the right thing.

Welp now we signed up for band!! Yet another activity. So i decided to buy my own drum thinking it would save money and this one had a "bad snare" per the music teacher and the stand broke the 2nd week! Honestly it easier if the school has one or you rent one so they arent lugging it back n forth every week SO we now use the schools drum and i bought an electronic practice pad for home which he really likes.

The direction give you setup for a stand, but the stand isn’t included. I bought the stand and it has the same instruction manual as the drum specifying that it’s a snare drum. It also references photos in the setup, but there aren’t any. YouTube link that is given takes you you to above that says “face reveal at 10 subs” and had no videos. Strap is also missing.
