Very cool hat.
Love it. If you're an outdoorsman. This is a must buy. Fits perfectly and the webbing on top work excellent. Will be buying a couple more soon.

Large enough, finally
As others have pointed out, this boonie hat is big enough for football-shaped heads such as mine. It is deep enough and has enough circumference to accommodate my massive cranium. The elastic rope adjuster for band size squeezes in from the back, so folks with nornal-sized heads can make it fit them. (I am considering just cutting all this useless stuff off because I don't need it any smaller.) The inside map pocket at the top is the full size of the top of the hat. Although there is no Velcro on this hat the stitched-in cross webbing on the top will accommodate all kindsa different camo apparatus. The band loops are not MOLLE. They are the right size for 20 gauge shotshells in case you are a little girl. The neck strap is an elastic rope and is not quite long enough. Since it is sewn in at both ends it can't be epanded unless you want to cut it and perform rope surgery. The vent holes are sewn with strain relief, but there are no open rivets nor any other mechanism for keeping the vent holes open. Therefore, there is no ventilation and all the heat from your head stays under the hat. I haven't figured out a way to fix that yet, but it's a priority before I wear this thing on another hot day.I like having the Old Man's Hat appearance of this boonie when I am out and about. The BGs will never give me a second look, and therefore never notice the .45 caliber bulge until after the fact. This thing is light and keeps the sun and rain off. Overall I like it. I might get another one in a lighter color, since these guy's version of Coyote Brown is pretty dark.

Typically Russian Boonie
After a few weeks of deliberating, I decided to take the plunge on this hat and ordered one earlier this week. It arrived this evening and here are my thoughts...First, it's typically Russian. The small brim and somewhat odd fit reminded me of the Panamanka (Панамка) hat, or officially the "M-38/88 Field Hat," the Soviets wore from the 1930s onward. Solid, durable and primitive as an AK-47!Personally, I prefer the shorter brim on this hat; but the shock cord strap to tighten it doesn't work as well as it should (it bunches up the excess at the back). It also feels "shallow" in the sense that even though it doesn't sit high on the head, it feels like it does. Another oddity is that while the material feels thin, overall it's heavy. But on the plus side, the stitching on mine is neater than the one pictured (which looks like it was sewn by a blind person, not that there's anything wrong with that!). Also, where I normally wear a 7½-7¾ sized hats (usually a 60-61cm in Russian/European sizes); it's plenty large.I also like the "floppiness" of it. The brim is angled downward, and not outward like Western boonies (which appear more like cowboy hats). While I doubt many true snipers will use these, this design does allow the addition of branches and grasses to the loops for camouflage. The bungee chin strap is odd but doesn't bother me a bit.Overall, for twenty bucks this one's a keeper. It's not true multicam or Scorpion OCP, but it's close enough to match for everyone but the most eagle-eyed Command Sergeant Majors! As a true boonie this will get use out of me, the true test will be how well it stays on in the open Jeep. As long as it remains attached to my oversized cranium, I'll consider it a 'win.' How well it holds up under rugged use will need to be seen, but I believe the single stitching is sufficient to hold it together for at least several years. If it makes it that long, I'll be a happy camper!

Durable
Use this on searches and stats on. Fit a little song but still breaking it in. Stays on through the thick brush and the material has held up against thorns and thick brush without any snags, rips or tears

Way over priced
The hat itself is good quality and the pattern matches my crye combat outfit but it’s a bucket hat and not a boonie hat the brim ether curls up or down and can not be shaped like most military boonie style hats it is over priced you can find a better and cheaper priced boonie if you look
