These fit and I'm thrilled since I went to Home Depot and other local places and these could not be found anywhere. I later learned these were included when I first put hurricane shutters 25 years ago with the screws and the wing nuts in a set so these were hard to find. The screw is one inch long and it was tough finding these caps on Amazon so I was thrilled when I found these. My only concern is the material, I saw the seller posted in an answer to a question that these are made of pvc, will these melt in the hot sun? Im in Florida and the last thing I want is for these to melt on to the screw and not be able to remove them to put my shutters up and wing nuts on. Hoping that I get an answer and will monitor as best as I can. The ones I had originally were really durable and did not melt. Fingers crossed as hurricane Ian initially was approaching Tampa bay and we had to board. I want to make sure these stand the test of the hot Florida sun. Hope this was a helpful review. 😎

When you spend as much as we did on hurricane shutters, you want to protect your investment! Because the shutters go on the same windows each time, the hardware stays with the window when the shutters are put away. This saves hours every year when a hurricane threatens! Instead of spending six or seven hours putting up panels and hardware, the panels go up in about 30 minutes!While stainless steel hardware is not supposed to rust, Chinese-made stainless steel corrodes, being somewhat ferrous. We bought these flexible protectors to protect our hardware from not only the elements but also from bird crap, which is highly corrosive! Easy to install with a simple push, they stay put till you remove them, even in 70MPH thunderstorm winds!

I have hurricane fabric window and door treatments that were installed nearly 20 years ago. There are over 200 bolts embedded in the exterior of my house. Two summers ago we deployed the shields as a hurricane approached. I noticed that the bolts were starting to get rusty because the bolt shields only covered half of their one inch length. I needed to find a lot of one inch weather resistant bolt shields. These bolt shields were a perfect fit! Problem solved.

I think they are good. They do the job but I purchased them a little bit longer than needed and they keep braking on the tops.
