Yum! This pineapple is just about perfect. The pieces are mostly uniform, just the right amount of sweet and tart, and they're not too sticky. It's easy to use this for cooking or baking.I'm enjoying them as-is. Actually, these are highly addictive. I can't keep my hands off of them.

The pieces are very small and taste more like sugar than pineapple.

I bought this brand of dried pineapple with the intention of making a tropical trail mix. Making snacks and desserts seasonally for friends and family is my love language. After comparing to several other brands, I chose this one because it appeared to be a good value. Once received and the bag was opened, I was pleasantly surprised to see how small the pieces were. Usually, I have to cut dried fruit into bite sized pieces for consistency throughout the mix but these appeared to be the perfect size. Unfortunately, this particular pineapple did not make the cut. It tastes awful.Other reviews state these are too sugary. I didn't notice them being too sugary but I did notice an artificial, almost chemical-like after-taste dissimilar to artificial sweeteners (which after years of diet soda, I do not object to).To make and give out trail mix using this pineapple would have been unacceptable. I don't believe the taste would go undetected-- even with the array of other fruit and nuts in the mix. I threw the bag away.

I meant to order the dehydrated ginger.Instead this dehydrated pineapple didn't seem to have any flavor and I probably will not use.

Pieces were VERY small!! Many (greater than 50%) were very hard and very difficult to chew!! Not because they were over dried, but because they were apparently cut from the core (which most people throw out). So bad that I either had to swallow them whole or spit them out. I used some for a fruit cake, in which I soaked the fruit in whisky for 48 hours and then baked the cake for about 2 hours. Even after all that the pieces were too hard to chew. I would definitely not recommend this brand!!! Also a big complaint about products listed on amazon: they do not say if they were made in China!!
