Magic: The Gathering Strixhaven Commander Deck – Prismari Performance (Blue-Red)

Great deck

This deck is so fun and explosive. I've seen some of the craziest turns from this commander.

Product arrived 2 days early and in near perfect condition!!

First off, I just want to complement the changes to the packaging with this years commander. Solid job. Less wasteful than before. The deckbox is a nice touch. The face commander shown on the box isn't a real card, and so no worrying about it sliding around and getting damaged through transit, or something. This being said, the brown box in the minimal packaging version holds a deck double sleeved in dragonshields, where as the deckbox that comes with this barely holds a deck doubled sleeved with ultra pros as the outer sleeves. I'd heavily recommend the minimal packaging version if you can get it for the same price.Okay, enough about the packaging, lets talk about the product. The etched foil commander is a little cloudy, but I found it preferable to the overly dark foil etching in Commander Legends, or the minimal etching on JPA Alt Art Strixhaven Mystical Archives. Honestly though, I put my foil etched Zaffi away, and let Veyran lead the deck. Veyran on its own doesn't seem that powerful, but her ability allows for her to provide support to a vast number of creatures/enchantments, and the buffs she gets from casting spells can get out of hand if you storm off, especially if you can make her unblockable. The deck itself seems like you can tweak it be more spellslinger or storm focus, depending on your preference. It needs some work, but every commander deck does to an extent. All and all, I think this deck is fun and worth the price.

Its a capable 100 card deck built for commander (obviously.) I do highly suggest chaning to Veyran, Voice of Duality as the commander though! Very good packaging, the life counter is a nice addition, and the "deck box" is fragile but usable.

I love playing this deck with my friends. It is a fun and versatile approach to steam play styles. Great buy!
