Cheaply made.
I have vision issues and bought this in hopesI could still use my good camera by blocking out the light. One of the wings fell off when I took it out of the box and it won’t go back on. I’ll be returning it. Hate the hassle of doing that. Disappointed.

I had a hard time opening it and in fact I broke the hinges. I must have done it wrong.

Convenient and Easy to use
Does a great job shielding the view screen from glare.

It's very flimsy.
It fits perfectly and is exactly what I needed for taking photographs on a sunny day, however, after I carefully attached it to my camera, opened it, one wing flipped open perfectly, the other wing flew off. It is now affixed to my camera and so I will use it with just one wing and hope for the best. Wish there was a sturdier option available.

I was sent an obviously used item. So disappointed!

Hood stays on and keeps the light out.
Read review about how the hood falls off. I bought it anyway. I adhered the hood as instructed and so far I think it's excellent. It protects the screen and helps me see the display even in very bright sunlight. I'll have to see if the summer heat will melt the adhesive away. If it does, I provide an update to my review. In the meantime, 4-stars.
