The cordless drill is very handy to use around the house.

great for installing hangers for deck joist
I have used an electric drill for years but as I was reviewing how to build a deck everyone suggested using an impact driver. They were not wrong. So much easier for installing the screws. Took me a bit to get used to the ratchet fell as it toques the screw but I got used to it quickly. This is small and makes it easy to get into tight spaces.
