I bought the Bible as my son request and he loves it.

Just what I wanted

It is literal, so gives an accurate message, and not like YLT, which uses old English, it uses the English we use now.

It is what it says on the tin, a literal translation. The issue with literal translations are they’re hard to read, e.g many parts of a passage will be in present tense, but they don’t make sense in present tense, certain lines need to be in past or future tenses to be understood. You almost need to read it a few times or have a different translation to refer to in order to figure out what’s happening in the story.On the other side of the coin, the translation puts certain passages and stories into a different and potentially more revealing context. E.g in the 10 commandments, “don’t take the LORD your God’s name in vain” is translated a bit more interestingly as, “do not take up the name of your God YHWH for a vain thing” - could that potentially mean don’t invoke his name when praying for something trivial or worthless? Save his name usage for the important prayers and oaths? Who knows, but when I read that passage I stopped in my tracks and felt it was significant. May God YHWH bless everyone who reads it with discernment and revelation.

This Bible is excellent easy to read pages nice quality paper..it is huge and quite heavy.. but that is not a problem..it won't fit in your handbag..🤭 The Name of GOD-Yahweh "YHWH" is used instead of LORD Exodus 3v15.. it's important to continue using GODS Name from generation to generation amen...

Lovely translation it is literal so very clunky buy at the same time it is useful to have. The book is massive compared to my other bibles ( it's the same footprint as the modern literal version). I love it :)
