Spektrum Firma 85A Brushless Smart ESC / 4000Kv Sensorless Motor Combo, SPMXSEMC02

This is a 540 can but it will work with Arrma Gorgon if you add the Hot Racing 8mm spacer. I upgraded to hardened steel spur and pinion, it meshes together well. I will be upgrading my differential gears next because this 4000kv is a little much for the inexpensive gorgon.

This motor has very good power for a 3s. Great speed and easy to install. Definitely a must of you're upgrading to a 3s or just simply replacing your current 3s system..

I updated to this from stock arrma infraction. The difference is day and night. Works as expected. It fits well. Obviously I had to upgrade the battery as well.

I tried one of the cheaper combos and the ESC was defective out of the box. So I dug deeper into my walet and ordered a Spektrum Firma 85A Brushless Smart ESC / 4000Kv Sensorless Motor Combo, SPMXSEMC02. I set it up on my test bench to make sure it worked. When full throttle was applied it would go WFO for 10 sec then go into limp mode. Because it is a "smart" motor i thought running with no load was the problem. After instulation in the slash 2wd it would go WFO fo 10 sec then limp and then stop all together. This is the same as the cheap brand! What a shame that buying a motor/ESC combo is such a cr*p show.

This is so powerful can't go max torque or I'll blow my tires every time
