this mesh type of ridge vent gets clogged, use something else
I've done construction work for 30 plus years, most home owners don't know craps, many contractors same. Aluminum ridge vents work best but can let snow or even some rain into you roof, especially with low pitch roofs. I don't like vinyl vents because of expansion and contraction, however GAF makes a good vinyl ridge vent, get that instead of this.
