DTK is a great battery replacement, I charged it overnight and tested next morning... using mix of High (Carpet) and Max (wood floor) and I stopped after 12 minutes of vacuuming, It still was working at Max.FYI - This was my 2nd battery, First was the KUNLUN brand battery, which I returned because it did not hold charge at all, was as bad as the one I was replacing.11/29/2022 - 5 month review - Still works great!!!!12/3/20224 - Finally dying.. will buy again

Purchased the battery to replace the original battery in our Dyson Animal V7 cleaner. The original battery is rated at 2000 MA. The replacement battery is rated, per the listing, at 5,000 MA. It was easy to remove the original battery and install the newly purchased DTX replacement battery. We put the new battery in and left the Dyson on the charger overnight. We used the Dyson the next day and in a short time the Dyson quit, as the DTX battery was out of charge. We put the Dyson back on the charger and charged the battery overnight again. We used the Dyson 2 more times after the initial usage with the newly purchased DTX battery installed. The second time the Dyson quit in a short time. The next time we timed how long the Dyson was able to operate on high suction. After 5 minutes and 27 seconds the battery showed red light indicating out of charge. We put the original Dyson battery back in the Animal V7 and used it. The battery was still running after 11 minutes and we were done using the cleaner. Bottom line, the battery we purchased that states it has a 5,000 MA battery lasts less than half as long as the original 2,000 MA battery that came with the Dyson over 1.5 years ago. This is the reason we are returning the battery.

My Dyson 7 stopped working with a red light on the battery pack indicating that I had to replace the battery pack. After reviewing several options on Amazon, I settled on the DTK replacement pack. I have a Dyson wall charger mounted in my hall closet that the Dyson sits on so the battery will always be connected to the charger. I felt this made it more important to pick a quality battery and not the cheapest one. The battery was extremely easy to install. It is a lot easier than the online videos make it appear. You just remove 3 screws, slide the battery out, slide the new battery in and replace the screws. Just make sure not to lose the screws when you remove them because the DTK doesn’t come with replacement screws. The DTK battery came charged and worked right away. It seems more powerful than my prior Dyson battery but that may be because the battery was dying towards the end. Overall a 5/5 for me.Edit 3/21/24: Battery is still going strong at 5 months. No issues so far.

I purchased this in the hopes that it would have a longer life and hold a charge better than my original battery. I tend to vacuum every day. I just got it last week and it seems to be doing well if there are any changes I will update. Update: it's been 4 months still going strong! I can finally vacuum my whole place (1400 sq ft) on a single charge which I couldn't do with the original Dyson battery.24 months update...my batter worked well a few days ago and now it won't hold a charge any longer. The vacuum works for about 20 seconds and that's it. Time for a new one I guess. I ordered it in October of 2022. It had a longer run time than the Dyson so I was able to vacuum my entire home (Small home btw) but sad that it is finishes. If I order another one, I'll keep updating.

I wanted to wait a while before reviewing this as everyone has had bad experiences with aftermarket batteries.I've used these for 7 months now and they still work fine.Only minor issue is the trigger for the vacuum seems a bit heavier to hold down now. After a few minutes my finger is a bit more tired so something dimensionally may be slightly different about this battery, but it's not a show stopper.

The media could not be loaded. Update: Now the same thing is happening on max. This video was taken on a fully charged battery and I only had been using it for less than 60 seconds when it started with the flashing power and died. Take your hand off the trigger and back on and you get about 6 more seconds. Do that for a few minutes until it won’t give any power anymore! DO NOT BUY THIS BATTERY!I hate this battery! I should have stuck with Dyson. I have had it for 6 months and I can’t even get 5 minutes out of it on low power before it starts cutting out on me and then just loses power all together. I can then switch it to max power and it will work, but I can not use that setting on my hardwood floors. This has been happening consistently for the last month and it takes me 3 times charging the battery and letting it go dead before I can even get the entire downstairs vacuumed. I know it is supposed to have a 12 month warranty and says to contact the company via my orders page, but there is no way to do that as it says the window has closed. I am hoping the company reads this review and reaches out for replace my or money back. Just stick with Dyson! My old Dyson battery lasted over 2 years!

I have had my Dyson for a couple years and over time was not able to use it anymore. My battery would die as soon as I took it off the charger. I was almost to throw it away when I decided to try replacing the battery before I gave up on it. I do not know why I didn't do this 6 months ago. If you have a cordless Dyson that doesn't hold a charge anymore oder this right now! It was simple to install just a couple tiny screws and you are back in business. This is hands down my best Amazon purchase this year! Don't fight that old vacuum any longer. Order your replacement battery and you will have a brand new vacuum. Mine now runs ling enough to vacuum the whole living and dining room. It will last on high power for up to 15 minutes of continuous use. 5 Stars! Match your model number and order yours today! This battery showed up the next day. It’s 2-3 times larger than the original so I can now do the whole house at once! I cannot do it on the higher speed, the vacuum shuts off after a few minutes. I assume it’s from heating up. But on regular speed, I can now vacuum at least 4 times longer.
