The Pelican 1010 Micro Case delivers exactly what you'd expect from Pelican - bombproof protection in a compact package. While small enough to comfortably fit in a pocket or pack, it has the same robust construction as its larger siblings. The rubber O-ring creates a reliable watertight seal.The clear lid is particularly useful for quickly identifying contents without opening the case. The interior dimensions are perfect for small electronics, memory cards, or emergency supplies. The blue base provides good contrast against small items, making them easier to spot. The internal rubber can be easily swapped out if needed, though many users might prefer to run it empty for maximum space.After months of being tossed in bags, dropped on concrete, and exposed to rain, there's barely a scratch on it. The latch remains tight, and the O-ring continues to maintain its seal. It's slightly heavier than cheaper plastic cases, but that's the trade-off for genuine crush resistance.One tip: keep the O-ring clean and occasionally apply a tiny bit of silicone grease to maintain optimal water resistance. I use this to hold batteries in case they leak so they don’t leak in my vehicle. It can hold 2 D batteries, 3 AAA batteries and 2 AA batteries.It could probably hold 3 D batteries at least.

This thing is super sturdy. Probably could run it over with a car and its contents would be ok. Great for lugging my nice IEM’s to and from work. Just toss it in my backpack and forget about it.I only wish there was some additional padding on the top shell. Might add some foam.

Bought this one by accident, but I’ll find a use for it,I use the 1020 to hold a wrench, a small ratchet a couple sheer pin bolts and a garage door opener while I’m on my John Deer riding lawn/snow blower… some times I’m out in the neighborhood for a while doing my neighbors driveways and I don’t want my tools getting lost or rusted or covered in ice… I like the end straps for a Velcro buckle I am thinking about attaching to the back of the seat or under the hood… I also considered some nice neodymium magnets but my luck it would get knocked off and it’d chop it up…although it is strong enough to run over with the lawn tractor and not be wrecked (generally, once or twice and a standard lawn tractor, can’t speak for larger.)I use the 1060’s for my camera DSLR and Go-Pro accessories. Never know when I'll get stuck in bad weather and accessories are expensive, when that happens I turn toward protecting the camera. Again. I like the strap option to band several together. Because they hold air, collectively, several in my bag mean that it would float under worst case scenario… at least for a bit.

Item is a Pelican case; however, the “red” color pictured is NOT the solid red case you’ll receive if you order. The case had a clear top, but the bottom half of the case is more of a maroon/purple color. Just an FYI is color is important to you.
