Rugged Ridge | Center Console Cover, Black | 13104.60 | Fits 2002-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ

Im not one to review an item but on this occasion I couldnt help myself. I ordered this item with a very open mind and a sore elbow from leaning on the stock OEM plastic center console lid. When I received this item I was pleasantly surprised to see the nice rugged look and feel of this item. First up I had to feel the hardness of the product to see how sore my elbow was going to be when I lean on it in the future. WOW was I surprised. The lid cover appears to be made of a foam like rubber which is firm yet much much softer than the OEM lid. The density of the rubber is approx the same as an archers practice targets. You know the material they use to make the animal shapes which you fire your arrows into so you dont destroy the arrows. The cover is somewhat flexible and seems it will be durable and last for many years to come. It fits like a glove in my 05 TJ Wrangler. Ive been holding off on this item for a long time now as I was concerned that it would be no better than the cheap plastic OEM lid. Looking back now I shouldve taken the gamble and bought this earlier. My elbow wouldnt have as many calluses on it and i wouldve saved lots of money on bandaids. Over all if you like the looks of this item but have had concerns about the material that they use (which has lead you to not buy this item) then my advise would have to be............ dont hesitate. Buy it. You wont be disappointed. I think Rugged Ridge has a great product here and believe me when I say Im very fussy and skeptical about allot of items sold on the net. Im a genuine Wrangler owner who takes pride in my machine. It does turn a few heads when Im on the road. Some KJ owners are jealous but you get that. TJ's rock.UPDATE.......... 08/07/2020 ................................Time to update my review.Its been a long time now since Ive installed this item and nothing has changed. I am still extremely happy with this item. It is still as comfy as before and still looks great. After all this time I still receive comments on how cool it looks. It hasnt faded or deformed. Im a happy camper.

Installed on my 2004 Wrangler LJ and drastically improved the interior look from the nasty cracked worn faded original lid. It also raised up the height of the arm rest enough to make a difference for me as I am 6'2" and the rest is so low I almost never used it unless doing the Detroit-Lean. Now I can use it pretty much all the time.

Make sure this part fits your year model jeep as there is a difference in the consoles between year models. Even 01-02 which I ordered first and was too small. On a 2002 jeep Wrangler this fit flawlessly and the double sided tape is very strong. It is a rubberized material and feels heavy duty enough that elbows, pet feet, etc. Should not phase it. Easy mod to cover a cracked console cover. Of all the rugged ridge parts this has been their best product so far.

If so this is the item for you. What's more comfortable than an aggressive tread design to rest your tender elbow on? I suppose you could try sandpaper, but why bother? The aggressive raised tread pattern securely locks your elbow into place, making slipping off the armrest a thing of past. Plus, you'll have a cool tire tread pattern embossed into your elbow for an hour after you exit the jeep. AWESOME!!!I put a towel on mine, so I'm not part of the tire traction equation, with my elbow.

I am 6'2" and 250 with a TJ. The OEM armrest position used to drive me crazy (too low)! With this new simple to adhere armrest cover, it actually gives the interior a little upgrade and makes a huge difference for me on the "comfort" side of things.I WOULD PURCHASE AGAIN. BTW, the folks at Rugged Ridge have incredible customer service as I've bought multiple products from them and they spent a lot of time on the phone with me giving me technical advice.

My tj console lid was getting gritty this is a quick recovery upgrade and it’s easily cleaned

I was apprehensive on getting this pad. Glad I pulled the trigger. Its actually really nice. Adhesive strips could be alot better. Overall very pleased.

I cleaned my console lid with 90% rubbing alcohol to prep it. The cover came off and left all the tape on my console lid on in the first week. Apparently it wasn't stuck good from the factory. Their CS would be great if I had the receipt. This was a Christmas gift that I just got around to installing, so I do not. They told me just send them my receipt and they'd ship a new one. They don't have the tape to send me new tape and said they couldn't do anything without the receipt.Edit: I got a copy of the receipt. Customer service sent a new one right out. Upgraded to 5 stars.
